ANYBODY DONE ANY PROMOTIONAL WORK FOR OASIS CLOTHING STORE LTD

 

I DONE A PROMOTION GIG ON 27th APRIL AND STILL WAITING TO BE PAID

I GAVE THE LIVERPOOL STORE AN INVOICE ON THE DAY I PERFORMED AND AFTER MANY CONVERSATIONS NO BETTER OFF

I MADE MY INVOICE WITH MY NAME AND ADDRESS ON IT TO BE PAID BY CHEQUE

TO BE E-MAILED ON 23rdMAY FROM HEAD OFFICE ACCOUNTS SAYING THE Y DON'T PAY BY CHEQUE ANY MORE AND WANTED MY BACS DETAILS TO BE AUTHORISED.

IT'S NOW 06th JUNE AND I'VE STILL NOT BEEN PAID. I HAVE E-MAILED ACCOUNTS STATING I AM ONLY SMALL ONE MAN BUSINESS BUT ALSO HAVE OUTGOINGS TO CONTEND WITH.

I EVEN CONTACTED THE MANAGER OF THE LIVERPOOL STORE ON 01st JUNE AND SHE SAUD SHE WOULD CONTACT HEAD OFFICE.

 

VERY ANNOYING AND DON'T THINK I WOULD DO ANY MORE WORK FOR THEM SO I THOUGHT YOU MIGHT KNOW

Its only been 5 or 6 weeks, you are probably on a 90 or 120 day account, this is not unusual, I did a gig in February and got paid a few weeks ago. In fact one hotel I do normally takes about two months to get paid, I invoice alot in December and get paid in February/March.

 

It's called cashflow

Thats correct, I did a christmas gig for Bristol Uni they paid me via cheaque which had my name wrong on it, so I was told to send it back to them and they would re-issue it at the end of next month in the form of a payslip with my tax and NI taken off, which wasnt too much of a problem.

thanks to all for the feedback this is the first time for this company my mates sister is the manager of the store and thought it would be ok but i have now put it down to a learning mistake thanks again for all the comments i am new to the forum and appreciate and acknowledge you comments

companies may say there policy is to make you wait for 60 days but as the supplier its your right to name your payment terms, if your hoping to make a lot of money from them be flexible if not make them adhere to your terms and conditions.

I done a Disco for someone at work 3 Years ago, and as was a work colleague didnt take a deposit, and booking form wasn't correctly filled in. So I trusted them and I am still waiting to get paid from it!!

But without a booking form filled in correctly I dont have a leg to stand on!

 

But thats not bad considering I have been doing discos for 5years for myself and only had 1 Non-Payment!!

20 odd years, one non payment, cheque bounced, and they had left the country, luckily it was a Wednesday night and no-one turned up, so didn't do too much work, and didn't turn anything away, so didn't bother about chasing it.
