The Thames Valley Disc Jockeys Association

The TVDJA was formed in September 1978, with the aim of bringing together professionally minded DJ's, to offer advice, guidance and networking. Although we are called the Thames Valley Disc Jockeys Association our membership covers a wide area of the UK (Brighton to Bristol, Skegness to Telford) and abroard (Malta)

We have an annual awards dinner dance (Shownite) where major manufacturers and DJ's get together and share a drink or six.

We do have a web site which is currently being revamped, but you won't notice that (lol)

Ladies, Gentlemen and others,

I am pround to announce that at the TVDJA meeting on Sunday (30th November), it was unanomously (sp) passed the the TVDJA should change it's name to the National Association of Disc Jockeys.

This will offically happen at our AGM on Sunday 28th March 2003, but we will use our annual dinner dance on Sunday 25th January to launch the new National Association.

Thanks for the positives vibes guys, If any one is interested PM or Email me.

At the moment we can get PLI for £5M cover for £150 but the company have hinted that they may be able to offer a doscount to our members, but we need between 250 and 500 members. well it's got to be worth for the PLI.

This maybe off topic slightly ...(I'm new to this lark...forgive me), but what is the usual premium for PLI of £5 mill.

And does the TVDJA accept membership applications from people new to the business on a professional or semi-professional basis, like I am.

It seems to me that an association such as this could probably give a lot of support to newbies, even if it is just the way that you can say that your are a member of the association. Am I right on that one?

Cheers

Dan

Chris, If you want to join, no prob, you could head up the Norwegian branch!!!!

Dan, £5M PLI is currently £150, the policy runs Sept 2 to Sept 1 (the next year)

Yes we accept DJ's of all standards, we can't make you a better DJ, but we can offer advise on Technical and Legal Matters etc.

As posted elsewhere here and everywhere from March 2004 we will be the National Association of Disc Jockeys, and will be welcoming DJ's from all over the UK and Europe. Annual membership is currently £60 (e 103.8), but I am hoping that at the AGM in March we can reduce the membership fee.
