Gary 0 Posted July 4, 2005 Report Share Posted July 4, 2005 Whilst Wet, wet, wet made the top spot damp from their "Love is all around" cover being No.1 for a 15 week epic, 14 other artists still managed to get a word in edgeways at the apex of the charts. East 17's "Stay another day" held the top spot for 5 weeks, with D:reams "Things can only get better", Mariah Careys cover of Neilsons "Without you", Whigfields "Saturday night" (de de dah dah dah), and Pato Banton's: Baby come back (with a bit of UB40 stylee help) all managing 4 weeks each in the cherished position. And just when you thought things couldnt get worse than Whigfield, along came a group called Doop, with a track called Doop...(and it was total doop) managing 3 weeks at No1. Having a No1 for 2 weeks proved to be nothing much to sing about, with Chaka Demus and Pliers (Twist and shout), Take that (Everything changes), Prince (The most beautiful girl in the world), Manchester United 1994 Football squad, Take That (again)(Sure) and Baby D: (Let me be your fantasy) all managing it. Just making a brief appearence for just one week, in the numero uno placing, were Stiltskin, with "Inside" and Tony Di Bart with "Real Thing" I've got a sneaky feeling that this might be a landslide victory...well, maybe a 2 horse race, but...cast your vote... Dream was a top tune untill it was stolen for some political promotional type thing. Tony Dbart the one hit wonder is an all time 10 ten fave tune also...
