Go on then Mikeee, tell us what the exclusions are:

If the policy null and void if smoke, haze, snow, foam, or bubbles are used by the covered party? I know that you mentioned a policy which such a clause in it.

Good news Mikeee, I can only see it being a benefit to existing members though. If you are hoping to attact new members, they will still need to join NADJ - that's £45, plus the £84 for the £5M pli, that's a total of £129. I only pay £116 for £10M pli at MU!

Fair point Brian!

I guess what we are doing here is responding to the questions and wishes of our members and of those on forums like this that frequently say "We would join an association if they could include PLI with membership.

The policy does just that.

It is a NADJ Block Policy.

Like most insurances it has restrictive clauses and excess amounts in the case of claims.

Like all insurance policies you will need to read the small print and make a valued decision.

We believe that this policy represents value for money and will protect our DJs in their daily work.

£84 for the policy and £55 initial membership fee [including one off admin charge of £10] = £139.

The whole deal needs to be viewed as a package.

Of course benefits of belonging to NADJ, SEDA or any other organisation need to evaluated, and like all things are subjective.

There is never going to be a "One Size Fits all solution"

All we can do is keep listening and try to respond where practical!

Quality isn't expensive......................it's PRICELESS

Many Thanks,

Derek.

Good news Derek, nice work.

Now then, will the cost eventually decline if more members sign up and take it on? Once the NADJ membership has grown through NADJs branch formations, that would be really cool!

I've just heard on R4, (You and Yours) that insurances costs are likely to go up by a fair old amount over the coming months

Gary, I have asked the insurance company to clarify "Hazers" as a yes or no.

The policy excesses are £250.00 in the UK and £500.00 in NI.
