Paul Smith 0
My 'weekend' started on Wed with the quietist wedding of the year (so far). 40 people in a room that could hold 200 and as people rushed off the floor at the end of the 2nd dance I knew they would take a while before braving it again (it was 11.30 before they came back on to it). In the interim period I played a bit of everything and the reaction of people that I spoke to was that they were enjoying the music but just weren't in the mood to dance or request anything either. http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/wacko.gif Thurs night was a complete contrast. The floor filled from the start, stayed like that until the end and there were plenty of requests and singing as well. http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif I know the money's the same but I'd rather have a busy dancefloor. The other weird thing is that it's these quieter gigs that seem to generate more referrals for future bookings. http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/533.gif Paul http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/cowboy.gif
