Newmark Dimension 4 or C-Mark MR2650

Recommended Posts

Hi,

We joined the forum a couple of weeks back and have been reading past postings and getting some great hints and tips from you all.

My wife and I both DJ and also do Karaoke and she has promised to treat me to a new amp after the bank holiday weekend as we're both working every night http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/hug.gif

She's given me a choice between the Dimension 4 (£300) and the C-Mark (£350) and I was wondering if anyone on here has used either and could give me an idea of which they would pick and why. Have heard really good things about both but no-one round our way has either I could try out.

Hope you all have a great week-end and are as busy as you'd like to be.

Thanks

The Jokerr

Hi - I have two of the Dim4's and never had a problem. The protection is

great - also the price you quote is a little high - if you shop around you

can get them for £250 or less.

All the best, Chris.

I know some of the others have the Dim4s as well so may be they can add

to this?

I have 2 x Numark Dimension 4 amps which I have used for a couple of years. They are very versatile and good value for money at £250 or thereabouts. I have no idea what the Cmark is like.

The Dim4 has built in limiting, and can be used to drive bass bins as there is also a built in adjustable low pass filter http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/thumbup.gif

The only downside is it weighs a bloody lot http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/014.gif

Hi Guys,

Thanks for your reply's and some interesting reading. we're going to check out a few suppliers down here on the South coast to see if we can try (play with) before we make the final decision.

how about the behringer ep-2500 amp? great spec and only costs £200 i have been running 2x of these for 5 months driving 2x peavey ul-115 bass bins and ul-15 tops. they sound great and i have never had any problems with them. in fact i have just bought 2x more because i am doubling up my rig. i believe they are a copy/replica of the QSC 2450 but less than half the price. http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif

i have also used audiohead amps http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/oops.gif (ah 2400 and ah 1400) in the past which i have found to be cheap and unreliable and i must say that the c-mark amps look like the audioheads (probably the same!)

hope this helps! http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/rolleyes.gif

Yup, c-mark are audiohead and t.amp also. EP2500 can be had for £169. Also consider 2nd hand QSC RMX2450
