brianmole 0
Hi all you Kent boys.... What is The Queen's Inn, Hawkhurst like then? I'm told it's upstairs. Any sound limiters? Fussy landlord? Woodworm? http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/533.gif Cheers, Brian
Paul Forsyth 0
Hi Brian It's a super pub , with great food, but acces either up outside fire stairs (Ithink) or very narrow stairs inside. Nice function room - but access http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/fear.gif No sound limiter to my knowledge, but residents very close by so no chance for much volume I would think. Very nice landlady (who I have met on a number of occasions), but as a venue pay very little for dj's (unless you know different) If you need any further info, please feel free to either pm, email or phone me. Paul Forsyth 0
So how'd you get on Brian???? Vinnie Paul Forsyth The DJ formally known as Vinnie
brianmole 0
Brill! Got there at 8pm as agreed, main course was being eaten. Waited 1.5 hours to get access to the room, started at about 10:30, finished at midnight. Great crowd, well lubricated - they all turned out in very nice clothes; black tie for the lads and nice dresses for the lasses. But it all went to pot whey they opened their mouths! EEeaaar maiit, you got anyeee aaabbbaaa? http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/alcoholic.gif We got in through the fire escape, so not too difficult. Manageress was really nice. Here's a pic: http://www.dancemix.co.uk/images/4482.jpg I finished at midnight. We then got the usual persistent lot asking for 'just one more', but on this occasion, one of the guests came up and announced to me that I had to play another song as she was a wedding planner and she did loads of weddings. She carried on and on despite Martin (roadie) having taken the speakers to the car http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/laugh.gif . I took great pride in telling her something along the lines that I was a pro DJ that does a lot of weddings too, and I would not on any account consider compromising the venue's licence. http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/363.gif Stupid cow. Thanks for the advice Vinnie!! http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/thumbup.gif
