Evening gang.

http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/rolleyes.gif

Was at Plasa this year and stumbled accross a small stand showing mostly lazers.

The company were called GVG Disco lighting, and to be honest, their gear looked ok, and the prices VERY cheap......

We put a provisional order down on a Lazer, and were told that we would be contacted in two to four weeks when the stock come in...

Well, we have emailed and tried to ring on a number of occaisions, but to no avail. That was until two days ago, when we recieved an email stating........

"Hi

Nice to hear from you, if you send me a cheque for the light plus postage I’ll send one out to you as I have one in stock.

GVG – 705 £180.00

p+p 12.50

sub total 192.50

vat 33.69

Total to pay £226.19

Thanks"

If not Dodgy......no after sales i would imagine?

If the lazer was faulty when you got it, would they respond to your email complaint? If it took that long to get in touch for a sale!!

cant do the link (thick at that stuff) but have a look at the topic a few weeks ago

thanks for posting the link gary.

jeff,

have you bought one yet? im thinking of getting a mult colour laser next.

splosh,

as jeff mentioned, what happens if it goes **** up in the first few months.

if they took this long to reply for a sale i hate to think how long it would take for a replacement or refund.

check out limelight lasers there was a slight delay due to a cockup at the bank but they replied to every email i sent within a hour.

a lot of the lasers can be bought direct from china but you are paying on average £89 just for delivery from limelight my laser was £10 p&p.

hope this helps

jim

Acme falcons....so far so good, not gigged them yet, friday is the early school haloween party disco, so debut then! With smoke!! Lots of it!! Choke the kids!!

only messin.........

Gigged in the kitchen though!

So far im impressed, obviously i didnt try them with smoke...but the wife was cooking http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/fear.gif so didnt need any more!! bum bum

Er..where was i........oh yeah.....so far the controller they sent with it the G8?

Is a waste of time (only good for remote blackout i reckon) I just had them linked together on the dmx lead and sound to light seems the best option as they go through the pre programmed cycles.

The lights strobe, 14 gobos, flicker, change colour, zoom in and out, etc etc so really chuffed! better than my 4 chaos njd's (but they were good for the money i have to say)

Very heavy in comparison, but lot of output!

Does anybody use these lights perhaps can teach me a trick or two on the settings, or am i best just to leave then on sound to light linked?

I am a tad late to this thread but will add my thoughts on this company.

I have bought two items from them in 2007 one was their DMX 40mW green laser and a barrel scanner. Both are great quality and are still working perfectly. I had no issues with the company both my separate orders were delivered promptly.

It seems they no longer sell laser units, which is a shame!

Hi

I recenttly contacted them about a laser that I picked up second hand. They took a while to reply to me but they freely gave me all the info I needed.

I can confirm though, that they no longer do lasers.

If that is the case they really should delete them from their website. Still listed earlier today.

According to the email I received, they state they no longer sell lasers.

However I saw them still on the site as well when I was looking into my own machine - just a bit confusing !
