brianmole 0
DMX MASTER 1 LIGHTING CONTROLLER Can anyone tell me what these DMX controllers are like? I am looking for a basic DMX controller with joystick to run Acme Dynamo scans, Martin Destroyers, and whatever lighting I might get later (maybe a couple of budget moving heads). This one is up for about £120. I have no knowledge of DMX yet!

brianmole 0
Well spotted Jim, that's nearly half the price of this one I was looking at. Unfortunately, my local shop doesn't seem well placed to advise on DMX, so I will not be using him for this particular purchase.
dj007 0
if you try and buy the thomann dmx over here its about £100 and it is exactly the same model as the chauvet dmx 50 but just a different colour. the only other problem is they are in germany IF IT MOVES, FUNK IT. --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- ---
norty303 0
QUOTE the only other problem is they are in germany Where's the problem? They have a standard low rate of £10 for delivery to the UK and are a competent overseas retailer. Delivery is around 5 days normally. If you click the UK site at Thomann you'll get all of the Sterling prices. http://www.thomann.de/thoiw2_index.html?sn...54a85bb7e9a3dea DIY plans and pro audio related technical discussions www.speakerplans.com/forum

superstardeejay 0
The Thomann unit is identical in all but colour to the Showtec Scanmaster 3 from Highlite International. They are very much a budget controller, and not bad for the price, they're made in Hong Kong by N.C.W. ENTERPRISE CO LTD, (who make the BOTEX brand lighting equip.) They're also stocked under the Prolight brand, Chauvet, Soundlab, Maplin etc etc. The pushbuttons dont last long, the firmware is a little cranky but otherwise ok. Website here: NCW ENTERPRISE CO . DJGAVT 0
Ive got this one for sale http://cpc.farnell.com/jsp/endecaSearch/pa...U=DP27270&N=411 It is brand new and only used it once. Has no joystick but you dont really need one as the faders will do all that for you. I will let it go for about £70 if you pay cash and can collect.
