chrismk 0
I've had enough of using 2 dual T bar stands, now I want proper aluminiun trussing, anyone know where to buy good 2nd hand or where to get them from, I see prices start from £85 for 3 metres, I have also seen the wind up jobbies go for a £175 but they dont look like they are the strong Ally type Im after, I may well be wrong..... now I've got all this space in my Van I can get anything into it, well almost, apart from Elephants and Giraffes http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/9.gif yeah, I know Edited October 23, 2005 by chrismk
DJGAVT 0
I can sell you 2 1.5 mentre lengths. They are both in white and it is peeling off but you could sand blast it off to turn them into the normal grey colour. I am guessing you live near mk, that is also where I live. stoke53 0
If your buying stands dont buy anything else but powerdrive stands they are british made and will last you a lifetime perhaps a little more expensive than the imported ones but the quality more than makes up for the extra. And if you do need to replace anything on them spare parts are available unlike the imported ones that you would just discard and buy new. alan STROBE DISCO SHOW 01782 713277 07802 489555

nrgize 0
I have got the basic Skytec trussing which splits into 2 unlike my Ladder Truss. I use this now more regular due to space in the car. Powerdrive a real good make, the stands i use with the trussing are Powerdrive, and they are made in our local Industrial Estate next door to Leisuretec Distribution. DJ Martin 0
I had a look through the Terralec catalogue when I was thinking of using trussing. They have all three types, single ladder truss, dual and tri-truss, in a variety of options, ie 45 degree corners, 90 degree corners etc. I think it would have cost me about £400 to make a 3m span arch using single ladder truss. Good luck Martin
chrismk 0
The stands going for £128 each I ordered and recieved, these are rock steady with one leg being able to adjust if ever placed on un even gorund.... trussing I got but Terralec have 3 meter trussing, would this not be ideal, though I do note you say a arch, it aint cheap stuff, alot of labour goes into making them

Mobil Tech are french and the sp2 is a very good tripod, slightly smaller than the powerdrive, but will hold 10KG more than the powerdrive version. Anternatively, Ultimax winch stands are british made, and from the new range that i have just had the catelogue for have good load ratings and are double locked for safety. I would personally recomend the Mobil Tech tripods as they are better than the 2 Powerdrive stands i bought when someone told me that "Powerdrive was the best"! But my experience of both makes, i prefer the Mobil Tech stands as they are more compact, and will fit across the boot of my truck. But that is my opinion... But when i have ordered some of the new range of Ultimax Winch stands in... i will do a revew on the forum. http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/thumbup.gif The only UK number 1 record to contain in its lyrics the title of the song which knocked it off number 1 was... chrismk 0
THe ones I got were supplied by Terralec, the make on them says " Mobil Truss" with a ref. MTS 270 weight in at 11kg and can hold up 60kg's, they are really strurdy when in use and winding your bits up...
