gadget 0
What about these CD repair kits which are about 15-20 quid - come with two abrasive and two polishing rings and some gel to fix the cd with - are these any good? Tempted to try on a couple of old Cds (which have since been attached by the booklet to the point the label surface is knackered). Or on some badly scratched CD-Rs... Bouncy Dancefloor 0
if the label side of the CD is k nackered, then a CD repair wont work anyway the Label is actually the music! The Plastic side is just a protective screen

The Plastic side is just a protective screen Its more to test to see how well the scratches are removed - not if it can play or not! These Cds that have the top layer coming off are the ones where the booklets were made with non-acid paper which basically rots the top layer of the CD David DJ David Graham Tel: 01204 537716 / 01942 418415 Email: hello@djgraham.co.uk FB: http://facebook.com/djdavidgraham Web: [under construction - it really is coming soon :)]

djgb 0
Yeah thanks for explaining that one you put it much better than I could. Bye the way I gave the car polish a go and it seems to have worked , maybe not completly but the scratches are nearly gone, and the cd player can read them now. :thanks:
