Chris, I'm well pleased with my latest purchase from you (Soundlab). As i've said the homemix was below entry level but one of the worst things was the amount of skip. That was one of the things that I was looking for in a new CD player (anti-shock). There's nothing worse than loads of kids jumping about to Busted on a sprung gym floor!!!!

  4. http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/xmas.gif I've just blown my Homemix CD1 and replaced it with a proper set up (KAM mixer and Soundlab CD). Yeah I'll agree that the Homemix is probably a bit below entry level but hey it got me started!

I started off being volunteered by the missus to DJ at my kids' school pta disco with their hired gear. Had such a great time I was hooked. Bought my own gear mainly from ebay. I now do kids/family/friends parties and discos for 2 schools' ptas. I hope that I can glean some good info from you guys. I already appreciate it's not just about playing music.
