  1. hi guys, Just wondered whether any of you use a trolley to cart your gear in an dout of places? If so, what is it like and are they expensive? Netto had one in the other week according to a leaflet through the door. when i went to look at them they had none left. just wondered wheterh it might be a useful thing to have....

(all the rest have been for family and friends) http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/scared.gif Will only know a couple of people there so it should be a true test of how we are. I am starting to cack it a bit, but i'm sure it will be fine. Will be a rush to get there though as we have to setup in blackburn at 6.30 and i don't finish work in manchester till 5! Aahhh http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/scared.gif
  6. cool thanks, the market stall thing i have is a bit like a goalpost with a table under to put mixer and stuff on. I think we might take that with us to our first "proper" gig this friday. So i just need some "g" clamps then to attach my blitzer to it? I'll be able to coil my rope light around this to make it look a bti more attractive aswell. cheers http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/thumbup.gif
  7. Hello, Just wanted to ask about rigs and attaching lights. probably pretty basic stuff, but wondered what you attach them with? At present we have only really used a table and usually put the light on there some how pointing up. I don't have too many lights really, just a blitzer (DICHROIC FLOWER EFFECT) which is quite effective with my smoke machine, two sets of rope lights and a strobe, which we hardly use really. We also use a projector to project images on the wall with which also helps light up the dance floor as it were. my brother used to have a market stall which he took around
  8. i was made redundant a few months ago and during this time, my new car insurance quaote came through. when i rang up to renue it they asked all the usual questions, one of which has your occupation changed. I told them i had just been made redundant and they upped my insurance by £80!!! Can you believe that? I had been commuting to Manchester every day - some 40 or 50 miles a day and then all of a sudden i was hardly driving my car, was therefore less likely to have an accident etc and they charged me £80 more!!! i so hate insurance companies! Mind you i have just had my car broken i
  9. how-do everyone ;-) Afraid i won't be able to make it this sunday. Had my car broken into on friday and again today!! AAaarrghh !!!!! 2 stereos gone!!!! Anyway, upshot is that my car is going in to have locks repaired etc on saturday so i will be without car for a few days..... Can't get car fixed any sooner i have my first proper dj job on friday night so will need a car for that. Hopefully my luck will change before then..... http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/wallbash.gif have a good time though http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/beer.gif
  10. he he, or get a soundlab smoke machine that gives out hardly any smoke to notice anyway! ;-)
  11. hello http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/042.gif
  12. you can add a piece of code which will detect whether the user has shockwave installed, if so then you get nice flash version, if not you can make it redirect to a normal html site..... just a though but then you get best of both worlds ;-) Like the site though ;-)
  13. he he, i also requested a quote and mentioned the forum. still haven't had a reply though, maybe they've got too many quotes to do now! ;-)
  14. Just a quickie about smoke machines. I am slightly confused about what these are referred to, is a fogger the same as a smoke machine? Is a haze machine something different or the same? The reason i ask is that as per my previous posting about my smoke machine it isn't that effective. Someone suggested getting denser smoke liquid. Anyway my huband was looking at what was written on my big 5l carton of liquid and it says electrovision effect fluids haze - "electrovision fog liquid is designed for use in water based machines." The guy sold me this when i bought the soundlab smoke machine.
