  3. Good Luck Dave. After reading Mr Ms, posts or guideline http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/fear.gif I now feel sorry for Agencies. I still dont believe that I actuall read every word of that http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/sterb188.gif
  4. Dave (Liquid) Good luck, on what ever you decide to do with your agency. I personally dont think at this moment in time a national agency will work but I think you are brave for trying. There a a few local Agencies in areas you will be going into buisness against, some of whom have a great reputation and look after there Djs well. You must incorporate some sort of check against your Djs on your books, I know you are waving your sign on fee, which you would have had to do anyway, I feel. No matter were a Dj comes from who joins you you must check them out, afterall they will be representi
  5. I agree. Placing Agents ads on the forum is the wrong way to go, I find this forum very proffestional and well moderated and veted. I dont mind waiting for my posts to be checked before they are shown, I dont mind being asked to remove my web site link because it linked to another forum. I do though find it hard to belive a agent is allowed to advertise and have the cheek to ask for a signing fee. There are too many good agents around who charge no fee, vet all there Djs and get them some of the best bookings and fees around and all for no fee except there percentage which is expected f
  6. I think asking parents permission is a must if using photos from childrens partys, and good to use some sort of filter on the photo so no individual can actually be recognised.
  7. My Wife wont let me make a bid http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/fish.gif

  10. Hello. http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/042.gif
  11. I Agree the relisation of the benefits of PLI and PAT is starting to hit home with the general public, it was a decision I had to make in my first year, wether to get PlI or save the money and take the chance. After reading the importance of PLI on the forum and realising it is a law I decided to acquire, but I didnt gain any work extra just because I told a enquiring client I held PLI they just seem to want Cheap. But it now seems to be working, I have had 2 booking lately were the client has decided to give me the work after I have told them the benefits of hiring a Dj with PLI and PAT
  12. Ofcourse I bring my other half with me, it counts as a night out and who else would push the car when i run out of petrol on the way home in the rain. http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/whistling.gif (actually did happen) but because she had a beer I had to remain behind the wheel and she had to push (only a mile or two) Jim
  13. Great Interview. http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/goodjob.gif
  14. Hi Brian. Its about time you released another demo cd, how about recording a live set during FunkAid and charging a small fee with the profit going towards the fund. I will happily place an order now for the first 5. Jim
