  1. Wonder If any one can tell me the difference and best buy for the Acme Emperor and the isolution imove im-8s moving heads? I know one is 8 channel and the other 16 and you also get extra gobos with one. They look exactly the same! Anyone.............. Shed some light LOL Thanks Tim.
  2. I use QSC PLX and happy. Went for this as the company have a good reputation the amp has good looks and with the specs of it running cooler as well as being lighter with minimum ground noise. This thing kicks ass. This amp runs Cerwin-Vega! Tim.
  3. All I can do is recommend Cerwin Vega!, I use all Cerwin Vega speakers and very happy with them. Im waiting for the new Intense range to appear, Damn these look tasty. If they are anything like the mk2 V series I have, They are gunna be one bad ass speaker. http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/188.gif Tim.
  4. I agree with the burn speed issue, But as for makes of burner ALWAYS go for Plextor, They make the best burners avaliable. They tend to be a bit more expensive than the rest but as the saying goes "you get what you pay for" Also turn DMA off on the burners ide channel, this can sort alot of quality problems with burning, just make sure you burn slower, the buffer level will be doing a lot more activity than usuall. I use Nero and haven't had any issues using this. Does the job Try it, you might like it!
  5. Ive been using one of these mixers for about 6 months and am VERY happy with it, I have a numark cd player and the fader start work great with this. I have had trouble with one channel dropping out about a month after having it. It was on the master fader but giving it a wiggle seem to sort it. I took The fader out and gave it a blow out and put it back in firmly, All ok since. I like the idea of ALL faders being replacable singly. I would recommend one of these mixers too Tim.
  6. Well since I posted that message I have bought my self a pair of V152 MK 2, A pair of sub 15's MK 2, and a pair of INTENSE-T36/750 for a bit of reinforcement. I love Cerwin vega, I think they give quality, great sound with great looks Well happy http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/thumbup.gif I would recommend these.
  7. yahooooo! http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif I have received mine too! Thanks to Chris and GLS for making such fab deals. Keep em comming. http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/thumbup.gif Well happy Tim.
  8. Well Ive calmed down from the other night, but I'm still thinking about it. but it sounds like its happened alot to others too. I think if it happends again I would be able to deal with it a lot better (In my self) It's just that it has never happend to me untill now and ive been doin gthe shows a while now. It's just a knock back afer you've tried so hard during the night and thinking every one is having a good time and it just seemed so personel at the time. Like I said, Its not so bad now, Your comments definatly helped. Thanks for supporting me http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emotic
  9. Back from doing a girls 26th birthday, took a while to get em going, as always, everything going well and mostly playing for the birthday girls and friends as they seemed to go for anything i played. Fitted in most of the request in the right era's and every one have a great time. The night flowed very well and by the last half hour we had a dance floor full right till the end and then got asked to play one more just as we unplugged everything! The manager said it was ok, so we plugged the sound back in and started playing their choosen last song. packing everything else away and thinkin
  10. Whats the light called? How much? and isnt this in the audio review section? http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/wallbash.gif
  11. I do all my ripping with Lame at 192Kbps. If any help. http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/042.gif
  12. Im glad it went well, You got me out of a sticky situation at the last minute. Like wise for sharing work. The usuall Dj that does that venue was having his own birthday party else where, which I Was Djing. They just assumed he was free and booked him in to do the party you did and didnt tell him untill the day it was due to happen. So he panic'd and ask me if i knew any one else as all his fellow Dj's were booked, So i started phoning round with no luck, and then remembered THE DJ UNITED FORUM. I remember seeing your interveiw on the forum and seeing you were located close to me.
  13. Sounds all good then, thanks for the replies! I already have the djm 3000 and the cdn 88 just doesnt look the part next to it. I realise its not what it looks like but it does make me happier. http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif Ive been looking at this player for a while now, i know its not the best out there, I was also looking at the cdn 90 which seems to have a better spec but then again its not Pioneer. Thanks again.
  14. Any one got any thing bad to say about this cd player? Im thinking of getting one. Thanks
  15. I use Mixmeister too + laptop + eternal hard drive. The albums and singles are all just bunged on the hard drive in any order and then you import them in mixmeister and that sorts it all out for you, As Ninelives says the search facilty on the program will find what ever you type so no scroling through 1000's of tunes. As long as you type it EXACTLY right!
