    Semi-Pro - I D.J alongside a full time Job / School
  1. I always set it so the orange lights are showing and then I know I can't go higher than that. The two annoying things about the ones I have done is either, I try and trip them at the end of the night only to find they aren't working. or someone in the crowd trips it in the middle of the night!
  2. I work in a hotel that had a balcony in one hall and has a minstrel's gallery in the other and to be honest I prefer it as the only people that come and see you are the ones that actually want something as opposed to people who just want to look at your stuff. also means I have a alot of space to jump around without hitting anyone
  3. I liked the Pimms advert where that guy came into the tent and said that the record appeared to be stuck (whilst it was playing techno) and then proceeded to get the crowd to dance to Prince charming by Adam and the ants. And now is the time that I find I was the only one who saw that advert!
  4. I like my compact setup, I get there and after half hour of connecting its all set which means I get out and home sooner too And the crowd don't notice the difference, as it has been said, you are the person that entertains, not your gear
  5. I too would have spent several hours burning new CD's from my back-up on the PC Now I know in itself this is illegal but I back them up so that on the occasions that some little evil person steals a CD I don't need to go out and buy a new one as I feel I have paid for it once already and my insurance company won't cover my CD's You'll also note the "would have" being past tense because some stupid preson in my house (me) formatted the wrong harddrive...whoops...1000 mp3's gone forever..DOH!

    Village Halls

I did a friends wedding a few years back and he is a mate of Paul from the now defunked S club 7, he was at the reception so I made a consious effort to avoid playing S club no matter how many people thought it would be funny to request it. As for Village hall's I played a venue in Hemel Hempstead and every time I turned on the last piece of equipment it blew the fuse no matter what order I turned them on, the first time round my amp blew it. I got very scared! I ended up turning everything on except the bubble machine, every time I hit the bubble switch...pop! so no bubbles that evening!
