Some great advice here people As someone starting out, what make of speakers (and models) would you suggest I invest in? I'm looking to do venues of about 100 - 150 (definitely no more)

Can anyone recommend a decent company that makes the cd players / mixer I require?

Can anyone recommend a good starter mixer and two decent (but seperate CD Players) - I'm not someone who will be doing any "scratching" etc Thanks for the links for the lights, now looking into it With regards to the speakers: Which is better? Had a dj do our christmas staff party last week. I thought he was very good, and he was very helpful when setting up with regards to giving me info on how to go about setting up own mobile disco. The manager whom I work for also use to be a DJ in the 70's/early 80's. He agreed that the selection of music he played was very good. However he did comment about the lack of use of the microphone.
