  2. Hi I have only 6 of the superb Galaxy 250 moving heads left and wont be getting any more into stock until after Christmas These are very bright 250w Halogen moving heads that are fast and start quickly when power is supplied. The big advantage of these for the mobile DJ is that they are very light weight at only 12kg so can be hung from truss easily and because there is no Discharge lamp they can easily be switched on and off just by the mains to make them part of your show. Features * pan and tilt movement: pan: 540° tilt: 270° * beam angle: 19° * 7
  3. Not touchy but as this forum is viewable by anyone things like that don't help. I have a living to make and class-d equipment is one of the products I sell. If someone does a search for class-d subs on the internet and the first link they look at is a picture of a pile of dog poo it makes my job much harder. I welcom sensible discussions about the good points and bad points. There are quite a few models of class-d subs and some are better than others, the pro series with the kapper drivers are particularily good. As I said before there are better makes around but I would challe
  4. Give me a call if you need new drivers I will sort them out, Dicky
  5. Sorry Marky That is not a very constructive comment. I rate the class-d equipment very highly for the money. Sure there are better units out there but the class-d equipment especially the JAC series that Dangermouse has got are very good. The subs are also superb value for money, especially the pro series. rather answer in such a flippant way how about posting details of your experiences or trials with them Dicky
  6. Hi I am just about to launch my new web site. Before I do I would be grateful if a few of you could have a quick look around and make sure that there are no obvious errors. The site is very short on content at the moment and will will be added soon, but if I don't get the new site up soon I will never have the incentive to get the rest of the info up. This is the first site I have created with joomla and I am just finding my way around it so if there are any broken links or errors I would like to get them sorted before I replace the old site. You can see the new site here
  7. Hi Josh We have been testing several of these cables for a new product that will be released soon. I can tell you that the Klotz cable is head and shoulders better than anything else we have found for mains and DMX in the same cable. Have a look at This But it is very difficult to get in the UK at the moment. Dicky
  8. The JAC 10's are the best in the range!!!! Remember that 2 x 250w speakers are much louder that 1 x 500w speaker. I use 1 pair of JAC10's + bins in smaller venues and 2 pairs in larger venues, they are a sweet sounding speaker and very versatile in use. Dicky
  9. Andy, have a try with the free version of VisualDiscoMix, I will be suprised if you have any problems and even the free version is good enough to DJ with. http://www.nextec.co.uk/visual_basic.htm Thanks Dicky
  10. I can assure you that the class-d range are streets ahead of the Blue and Red Soundlab speakers. A lot of people confuse the class-d speakers as being the same as Soundlab, Carlbro, Warrior etc. The only thing they have in common is the enclosure. all of the class-d speakers use their own design drivers and electronics. In addition their main designer Gary is the former top designer at Carlsbro (as well as other places) and has designed some of the most popular cabs around including some of the Martin Audio range. What Gary does not know about speaker design is not worth
  11. Class-d do have an authorised distributor ME (look at my avatar and sig). and given the amount of times I have been told off for promoting class-d on this forum, I am surprised that I never get mentioned when class-d come up. I can better any direct from class-d price (including the ebay specials). The CD158-1's are very good for that money, but I would recommend the JAC series is your budget will stretch to them My personal favorites are the JAC 10's these are a fantastically sweet sounding speaker and are very punchy for their 250W RMS I use 2 pairs with a pair of CD15P b
  12. There has been some really good advice there. I can only add 1 thing. Try to speak slowly, when you are nervous you will tend to speak faster than normal, if you speak what you feel is slowly 9 times out of 10 you will be talking at a normal speed.. Dicky
  13. If you are looking for somthing to "Dip your toe in the water", the free Demo of VisualDiscoMix from Here should do everything you need. There is no time limit on the software and I know several DJ's who have never bothered to upgrade from the free version. Dicky
  14. One on ebay at the moment Here, less that I paid for the one I just got as well. But be quick though Dicky
  15. I must apologise to Ed for the slow response to his original support request about the German error messages, I was dragged away for a weeks surprise holiday so support was missing for a few days. I am at a loss as to why the Chameleons do not work with the Aurora interface but do with the Stairville, the output driver is the same as most other interfaces (both PCF based or desk). If anyone has any idea's what makes the Chameleons different to most other fixtures I am open to suggestions, I have never come across any other lights that do not work and I have sold quite a lot of these
