  1. 1) Celebration - Kool & The Gang 2) Love Shack - B52's 3) Wake Me Up - Wham! In that order - Always works for me L8r
  2. zanzibar2

    B52s

Yeah its great...refreshing :ab change from Loveshack anyway L8r Zanzibar
  3. :welcome: Great to have you on board DJ Will. Feel free to ask your questions  l8r Zanzibar
  4. Nice to see you...to see you...NICE! :welcome: L8r Zanzibar
  5. Sun Nov 25th and Thetford is fine for us. We have Cerwin Vega Intense 118 18" 500W Per channel Bass Bins (never heard bass like it!), Intimidation 600W Per channel Bass Bins and Cerwin Vega Intense 152 300W Per channel Mid tops. Sound is perfect...any interest? We're not selling ..we'll bring them if people want to hear? Also have Shure UHF and JTS UHF wireless mics, Kam DMX scanners and barrell (great for a big room), Waterwave (really great effect on white washed ceiling or wall). We also have a 1500W Vaporiser strobe. Loads of other lights. We have 2 x Phonic Max2500 amps (total pow
  6. Definately no more gear! We've spent too much this last year on lights and sound and its time for payback :dan+ju: I dont want anything materialistic...just time with the wife and kids and realising what's more important at Christmas Think I'll go 2 heaven now? :karen: L8r Zanzibar
  7. Ok...I'm voting Norwich but I cant vote yet as it says I have already voted! Dunno what the problem is but I've asked Matt to check for me. Norwich is much better for me but its down to the vote. If Cambridge wins then so be it - as long as it encourages a good turnout then thats a result as far as I'm concerned.. Sunday afternoon is more idealistic. If people want more than just a get together then hey we'll bring some kit too  Just lets make sure there's an MC close by (I mean McDonalds) By the way I like my food tongue out icon Really cant wait 2 c ever
  8. Surprise...we also got the same letter. My main business is aerials and satellite installations and I am forever been inundated with unsolicited emails from these type of companies. One of which is called Orderwork and they operate like an auction. The job goes to the highest bidder and the money offered is disgraceful...I have not and never will take work from anybody like this. Weddingoogle is no different...Offering cut price discos to DJ's who need the work L8r
  9. I agree Mick. Can you imagine been asked for the new Leona Lewis and replying "Mmmm ...sorry wont have that for 3 months". Yes we always buy the Now albums and use ITunes for new stuff L8r
  10. Yep..go for it Rob. My son tends to do most of the night on 18ths - I concentrate on the cheese but it works well L8r
  11. Hi all Swaffham is a bit far for us ...and also for others, but I cant speak for them. You've got DJ's potentially coming from Colchester, London (Ex Anglians) and other areas. Its ok if you're from March, Wisbech or Norwich as its only probably 40 mile round trip for Krazy Kaz, Mighty Quinn, Norfolk DJ and Tonsk (apologies if not mentioned others). I really want to get involved with something but I think others from afar will bottle out if they have to travel all the way to Swaffham...I may be wrong?? I just feel that I'm a 'newbie' and dont want to rock the boat and spoil someth
  12. Yes..we're up for something. Might be a good idea to leave it until Jan though ...quiet(ish) month for all?..apart from in-house DJ's that is. Yeah ....how about booking a small hall? I could do with some practise and our house is too small to set our system up...only thing is who's gear are we gonna trash...(sorry) use! :dan+ju: We also need to find somewhere central. Does everyone drive? L8r
  13. Chichester has a race track there doen't it? I went there on a corporate 'team building' day out a few years back when I was with Vodafone and drove an old Porche 911 round the circuit :flirt: :welcome: Enjoy your stay Daryll L8r
  14. So do most Dj's on here work 'in-house'? If you're not in YP you must be well established to get the work..? We are well placed in YP (at the beginning) and still dont get a vast amount of calls. Although when we do get calls we get the ones who say "How Much?!" So I'm with you Tonsk on that one. We are getting well known for 18ths though  L8r
