  1. I also use joomla for my website, and I really do like it. Certainly one of the easier CMS systems out there. The module system is a real help. I would reccommend it to anyone who wants a bit more out of there website than some static html pages. I've also modified the same template as Matt, you can see the results here - www.bighousegroup.co.uk
  2. Saturday, we ran our own fancy dress party, called MishMash at the Movies, at a venue of capacity 250. Sold most tickets the week before, then charged double for people buying on the door. All in all, a very good night. Not a hint of trouble, atmosphere was amazing all night. Made a profit of 10 times what we hired the venue for. Now begins the preparation for the new year party. Estimated profit for that party.... well into 4 figures.
  3. Hesitant to suggest it, as some people really do hate them, but why not an iPod? The 80GB model has enough space for at least 3 weeks of music at 320 Kbps. I've got 5117 ripped at that, and they take up 45.27 GB which is 14 days worth. Should be enough for at least 1 gig.
  4. Never have the problem of leaving the desk alone myself, as I DJ with 5 other people (not at the same time, obviously), which means the decks are never left alone. And people rarely ask to look at our CD's, not really sure why, but its probably because the dancefloor is pretty much full all night, a rockin' and a ravin'. The people who do want to look through them always ask before anyway, so its always a polite 'What do you want?', they say, we play. If it's a good song of course. The only problem we have is the drinks being left on the front of the table, can get pretty crowded af
  5. You're ordering your own christmas presents? Surely that takes away some of the fun?

Does anyone have a reccomendation to which CD I should buy for New Years? I'm looking for all the classics, like a countdown, Big Ben, Auld Lang Sygn and all that. Thanks a lot for your help. Neil

No, no, no. That joke is not allowed. But your right, they are amazing live, I saw them in Hyde Park a couple of years ago, one of the best nights I've ever had. Never thought that they'd have a recovering addict in them though. But well done to him for getting through it.
  8. QUOTE "when i did the sound test i blew out windscreen of the van at the other end of the park." I'll make no other remark, other than that I'd like to have seen it happen.... I'd of liked to see what happend to the people in the way of it. Imagine a head just exploding!
  9. QUOTE (Gary @ Jul 20 2006, 09:53 AM) I've been disappointed with most of the 3 part-er films that have come out in the last few years, including Lord of the Rings... 2 films worth of content, spread thinly over three films. So your saying that Tolkien should've managed to fit it into 2 books instead of 3?
  10. Oh, I do. Nothing quite like making videos for the sake of it. Link in my signature.
  11. Ahaha, I decided to buy myself a tux for my leavers ball. I just thought that it'll get quite a lot of use in the long term. Didn't go for a limo though.
  12. QUOTE (superstardeejay @ Jun 30 2006, 06:57 PM) QUOTE Martin Atomic with a dmx controller These are positively sublime strobes. Oh, they are beautiful. Get 5, and put them in differnt places around the room and sequence them to go off one after the other. They'll light up the whole room and provide a moving strobe effect, so the shadows just move around. Fantastic fun.
  13. One which i usually get asked for is Sit Down by James. I like it, and I suppose its one of those songs we heard as a small child, and just remembered.
  14. QUOTE Part 2 test on wednesday 28th, so stay off the roads I'd of hoped that if you were taking that test, we wouldn't have to worry.
  15. With tracktor, is it possible to mix in non real time? For example, when recording, if you know when you want the next track to come in, is it possible to just jump to that point and mix it, or do you have to sit through the whole track until the point of it being mixed comes along? Thinking about getting it, see. Neil
