Respectable is a great track, not sure how well it would go down though. Never played it as a DJ, whack it on the jukebox regularly though lol.

Run D.M.C - Down With The King :paula:

Could do with a complete setup, new PC, speakers, amp, lights, stands etc. Can't see it though tongue out icon

I've been meaning to get to a meeting for a long time but haven't found time. Need to get cracking!

Yes. This is the first thing that came into my head, it's what I'd choose!

I really like this idea, I will post my tracklist from my 70s/80s disco when I get it off the computer I used.

Depending on what sort of function it is I will either be found: At the bar Standing next to the DJ requesting songs every two minutes or watching the DJ like a hawk from my seat to see if they make any mistakes and then saying to myself "I could do better than that" tongue out icon Never dancing!

Thanks guys. I have done quite a few parties before, 16th/18th/21st/30th birthdays, a netball teams presetation evening lol. I am quite confident with all the music side of things, I love all types of music and think I have a decent enough knowledge so that I can keep most people happy. The things that worry me are lights. I don't really know what to do with them :damn: . I usually just end up leaving them on one setting for the entire time and not really getting the most out of them, same with bubbles, lazers, smoke, flames etc! I guess this sort of thing comes with experience.

I'm not part time no, I have DJed a lot over the last few years but not regularly. I usually play Drum & Bass in clubs (vinyl) but the DnB "scene" doesn't get you very far if you wanna make some money! Did a 70s and 80s disco in a pub on Saturday night and it went really well, now I feel like I want to make the transition from mixing on turntables to the mobile disco thing.

Hi there, my name's Greg and I'm from Chatham in Kent. Been toying with the idea of becoming a full time DJ for some time, thought I'd join up here to get some inspiration/ideas for equipment etc.
