  1. Hi Loz, Normally they will have a catwalk to demo all the wedding dresses. I would find out who are your fellow exhibitors beforehand and offer to provide background music for them in exchange for a mention at the end of there chat regarding wedding dresses etc. Somebody will normally provide commentary on the dresses as they are demo'd. "And here's Sandra looking like a big moose in this catching little chifon number" It "fits-where-it-touches" but she don't care!! I used to have to do wedding fares at a hotel I worked. They were always a pain in the ass. The customers will not come to
  2. thanks Chris. Is there anything in the UK with a similar setup. I am running some JBL Eons with a pair of 15" black widow peavy subs and the sound is nice but a bit too much humping around for some of my smaller venues. Nick
  3. I am the lookout for a new speaker setup for smaller rooms and found this link on an american forum that I browse. looks like nice kit, very mobile friendly. Here is the link Any thoughts Naughtydog
  4. This little mix set is rocking my xmas floors right now... Kick off with scandelous by misteeq and punch in over the top at opportune moments the vocal stab from indipendant woman where they holler !question". (hot starts on a pioneer deck make this easy) create a loop at the start of indipendant woman and beat mix through, the bpm's are around the same. Towards end of indipendant woman create a looping 8 bar of "rock your body" and introduce this at the wining at the end of indipendant woman. release the loop and run. Throughout the latter half of of "rock your body" introduce a loop
  5. Just wanted opinions on how you guys store cd's. I carry mine in cd bags from case logic. I am looking for alternative ways as I spend a lot of time looking for those eleusive tracks - you know the ones you play regularly that elude you every week. Ant recommendation anybody?? Naughtydog
  6. cheers fellas, see if you can remeber this one. i think it was called "working up a sweat" or "working up a sweat over you" - it was a 80's soulful type tune. I though it was full circle - yeas, it's just come to me - it was "full circle". Anybody remember that one?? And add some more classic 80's soul tunes to the pot. I am doing an 80's set and I want to get my mixes as slick as I can for xmas. I welcome your input Naughtydog

    to be in love

I recently got a wedding reception dropped on me at short notice and the first dance was "to be in love"?? I did'nt know the song and the bride/groom did'nt know who sang it either?? Any ideas anybody? The bride/groom were well into garage/house?? could be this type of tune?? Anyway, i did about 3 hours before a big hitter from the local club scene hammered the garge/house tunes at em all night - I'm sure all the old aunts and uncles really appreciated that one!! A bit selfish I think. Some guy came up to me and asked "what time is do you finish" - I told him that judge jules will
  8. Saturday was a "madonna-Tribute night". Well Madge was a moose close up but from a distance in those skin tight pants it was certainly "into the groove" Hammered them with old skool and all my mixes seemed to work. Good night had by all Naughtydog
  9. All the best Eskie http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/thumbup.gif ...do you have a track list/running order that you'll be mixing/working to - just interested. Naughtydog

    Bootleg wanted

It's on the DMC commercial CD, it's in my car at the moment, I can get you the proper title if needed. It's a mix of Billie jean and indipendant woman as you said. Works for me. Naughtydog
  12. It's because you have fresh content every day that they like to look at you - you should be pleased!! They wont look at me at the moment, I have to pay for the pleasure of having Inktomi Corp. check my pages every 72 hours!!! This is the reason why a lot of "blog/forum" type sites are getting good rankings at the moment - even on google. If anybody really wants there brains battered with the search engine thing then have a look at this site here. Adios' Naughtydog
  13. What about January...cant think who sang it - maybe Pilot?? or even This is the Year by the Staple SIngers - an oldie but goodie!!
