How much do you want to spend on one, as I may be able to lay my hands on one.

The Best Place To Download?
Coloursounds Entertainment replied to martin472's topic in Digital D.J'ing Discussion
www.Mobiledjdownloads.com for me as you get the choice of 320 cbr mp3 or raw wav (no loss of quality) files, either tracks are 99p each and completely legal for the dj market. -
It makes no difference I regularly use both condenser mics(48v phantom powered) and the normal dynamic mics (not powered) through my desk with the phantom power switched on, it will not affect your sound or damage your kit, this is standard practise on all desks.

Wanted Rcf Amp Owners Manual
Coloursounds Entertainment replied to superstardeejay's topic in Techie Talk
Just visit rcfaudio.co.uk and then give Mick a call (he's the tech guy and his extension number is on the contact page) and if you ask nicely he may have a copy to e-mail to you -
When I started pc dj'ing I had a pc built into a 19in steel server case which was then rackmounted in a flightcase with the screen, mixer , mouse and keyboard all left plugged in. It is just a case of turning up plugging the mains lead in and the signal leads and away you go. I have never had cooling problems and the unit is robust enough to take a few knocks, the only problem is it's heavy.

ok from the beginning, download a copy of audiograbber (its free) and it does a far better job of ripping cds than pcdj. when you have some music in a folder (called music or whatever you want to call it) you then have to right click in the left hand pane at the bottom of the pcdj window one of the options will be to monitor a folder and when you left click on this you can then select the folder you have stored your music in. pcdj will then show your music folder in the same pane and when you click on it your music files should display in the right hand pane for you to scroll and play from

Rack Mounting - All The Gear And No Idea
Coloursounds Entertainment replied to kashoggi's topic in Buying Equipment
Have a look at www.swanflight.co.uk they list a flightcase purpose built for laptop dj's. They will also answer all your questions and supply all the connection plates you need. -
I couldn't agree more, the 450's sound ok for mid tops but struggle a bit with the bass at higher volumes when used full range on their own and that's not even considering reliability issue's. The rcf art range of speakers are far superior and louder as they are more efficient at converting watts into db. The original 450's were rebadged rcf's when greg mackie took over rcf in the uk but now the companies have split again the 450's use chinese drivers not rcf to make them cheaper.

Yep same for me too, I have been using pcdjfx and kj add on for a few years now and so far no crash's. The graphics are perfect and finding tracks is a piece of cake. One added benefit with KJ is you can type in the singers name and it will be displayed on your screen along with the song title, this just make's your presentation a little more professional.

ok I have retagged all my music files with tag and rename (awesome piece of software) but I need to do the same with my Karaoke folders, these are set up as follows-- I have a folder called karaoke with 6000 songs in it. The mp3 file and the cdg file for each song is also in its own folder so how do I get tag and rename to open the main folder and the sub folders to retag all the songs as a batch

ok guys your advice as always is invaluble tag and rename it is then, I just hope its not too complicated
