  1. Gary or somebody??? Lol Things they forget in the manual!! As the on off switch is not accesssible once in a flightcase, what is the correct procedure for powering the HD2500 down? Do I just switch off at the power distributor strip? I would hate to corrupt all my nice new shiny files on the internal H/D lol Thanks in anticipation. The Spindoctor
  2. Phew! When I read stuff like this its good to have been away! http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/sleep1.gif
  3. QUOTE You would let someone touch your equipment!!! The only one who touches my equpment is my wife or my roadie!!!!! http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/oops.gif Just my 4d worth Spin
  4. I agree but if you can afford it go for XP Pro!
  5. QUOTE most of the photo's contain attractive women wearing revealing clothes. They don't do they???? What our dedicated band of entertainers????? Surely they are not that easily distracted from a decent photo of multiple lightboxes?? Just my 4d worth Spin
  6. I'm with Ads difficult to judge, if it is part time job for you and 'you' are happy then its fine, others who do this for a living may not be so generous with him. But at the end of the day its your decision Just my 4d worth Spin
  7. Thanks for all your replies............. I was in the Dantry Suite, straight through the cargo doors (excellent access) Bar was free all night !! (even after we'd finished and packed away) Pam sends her regards Dan, and breakfast next day was awesome!! A thoroughly enjoyable gig, the lord Chancellor was late so I only had to work from 9.30pm to 12 (shame) but they've booked me for their next one in London in November!! 8. I'm with Chris on this one............. I pay my roadie nothing! He's been with me ten years since the age of 15, has no desire to set up on his own, still insists on paying his way drink wise (although I don't expect him to) and at Christmas and birthday's he gets a very expensive present. Worth his weight in Gold, the only time he will 'take' from my living is if we get tipped which is his, the better the show the more he earns in tip! Just my 4d worth Spin
  9. Ok so that one went for a snip at £5 grand so maybe this is more to Ads liking then? Look at this one!!! Just my 4d worth Spin
  10. QUOTE Another good lighting buy is a 1000w halogen light, turn it on 2 minutes after your last record and the place will clear in 30 seconds Also usefull when the bar staff 'forget' to put the main lighting back on and expect you to pack up in the half light!!! Spin
  11. QUOTE I could just put on Vindaloo, if England win. Well no need for that then!!! Perhaps "Show me the way to go home"? or for the referee "The Winkers song" Just my 4d worth Spin
  12. QUOTE And revealed that he is a major shareholder Yes he actually owns 80% of Classic Gold, I think his view may have been taken into consideration following the phone call! Spin
  13. I can't enthuse about the anti-smoking laws enough......... indeed Mrs Spin is a smoker but in Dublin managed to have one either in the street or back at the hotel room with the window open. She also complies with my ban on smoking in my car aswell!! Just my 4d worth Spin
  14. My guess as its at no reserve is it will be 'sold' elsewhere prior to Auction finish. Spin
