  1. I know of a local DJ that is running the FBT tops and the active 15" bin too and its a great little combination!!! Really punchy, clear vocal and the power of them is really quite something too. The sub is slightly heavy to lift on its own..mainly due to its size, but the tops are superb. Id opt for the FBT over the RCF anyway really
  2. If moneys not much of an object, then why not recommend the Revelation Choir that were on the BBC show, Last Choir Standing. There originnally a Gospel Choir, but have created their own sound on popular tracks from the last few years. If you go onto You Tube you can hear their superb version of Take Thats Rule The World.
  3. Fantastic speaker. Have had my model 2s nearly a year and love em. Never before have i had so many comments on a speaker system....or a particular piece of my equipment. And i think the main reason why people dont "talk" about them, is mainly due to the amount of negative and rude comments about the product from people who just dont understand about it.
  4. The other thing you have to remember with uplighting and the additional services, is whether YOU have enough time to set them up, control and run them whilst still doing your main role as the DJ. Sometimes you require extra staff on the larger events and this is something you have to take into consideration. I know Danno & the likes of Ben use each other to help when sometimes rigging and ripping out of the larger jobs.
  5. Im surprised none of you have mentioned Rihannas - Please dont stop the music. That seems to still be popular.
  6. I disagree actually Ade. Denons customer service has been brilliant with me. When ive spoke to Denon in the past theyve answered all my questions spot on.
  7. Welcome to tractor country! Where abouts in Ipswich have you moved too? Im based just south of Ipswich and im more than happy to meet up for a drink and chat, I can fill you in on all the djs, venues and goings on around ere! hehehe
  8. Transit SportVan Here it is.... http://www.yourpromdisco.com/van.jpg
  9. See this is one thing that bugs me about dealers. What that dealers problem may be is that he/she had a problem with one or two they sold. Once something goes wrong on a product a lot of people dont give it a second chance. Whereas i know and understand that this is life and afterall they are made in China! The dealer who put the product down could also just have a problem because he didnt get the sale. I dont know The main thing is that your happy. If you've got a warranty on the product then who cares. Get mixing and enjoy the tunes!
  10. I cover Essex, (which is overspill area for people working in London) and a few of them are cockneys born and bread. Ive played Rabbit, Sideboard a few times. More of a request than an actual "ohh ill play that", however Chas & Daves version of Auld Lang Syne is just sooooooooooooooo good you cant NOT afford to play it on NYE
  11. Didnt realise that Kay had a bust up with Dave and the rest of the cast of Phoenix. it was a good show...and both Dave Spikey & Neil Fitzmorris (Played Ray Von!) never really seemed to gain a lot of credit from the writing part. You can see in certain lines on Phoenix both Dave & Neils writing. Thats why Max & Paddy was never as strong. I think Peter Kay has lost it now anyway. Ever since his Bolton Albert Halls dvd. He re-released the same thing at manchester which to me was a waist of money. I like Peters writing but i think his fame will die off soon. Going b
  12. Im a big Martin fan, and even though im more used to the moving heads, i do find the Mania range of scans and barrells to be superb. The SCX-500s are compact, small and lightweight so are easy to rig and the optics are great. The colours, movement, gobos are all very good too. Nice choice.......although I get this funny feeling you may end up buying another SCX600 to go with your current one to match up a pair :dan+ju: :joe: tongue out icon
  13. Ive got 8 of these and they are stunning. Out of interest, how much did you end up paying for each and where did you buy from BK?
