  1. Come on folks how do you organize your files?
  2. This is a very good thread fellas :mikee: A lot people have tried and failed simply because the fact that the equipment is cheaper and more accessible, you see complete systems for sale on the likes of fleebay on a weakly basis. I don't think you have to be fantastic on a mic although the more confident you are does make it a bit more professional. BUT in other areas such as music choice and the ability to keep things going then that is an art and to a degree you either have it or you don't, a genuine strong interest in music is a huge bonus. Like I have mentioned many have tried a
  3. Yes nice effects, shame about the track tongue out icon
  4. Yeh nice and lite, easy to mount spot on
  5. Just a basic question for Numark D2 owners. We all probably have different ways of organising the folders but how do you do yours for easy access? Bellow are a couple of pick on how I do mine. Pick of main categories http://www.cage-n-aviary.info/dd.jpg Pick of the "Artist with own files" folder this is for artist that have quite a few chart entries etc. I also have a separate similar folder for Rock, Rock n Roll etc. I just find it easy to find particular artist and tracks without the need to search. http://www.cage-n-aviary.info/foldervies.jpg
  6. It depends on what your running them with, for instance if for a couple of pairs of bass with decent rms power then the output on this would be ideal and hardly breaking a sweat.
  7. Yeh just been looking at the THE T.AMP D3400 at http://www.thomann.de/gb/the_tamp_d3400.htm?partner_id=43724 http://images4.thomann.de/pics/prod/112300.jpg It may be just shy of £500 but when you consider is 2x 1700watt/4ohm, 2x 1000watt/8ohm, 2x 3350watt/2ohm. XLR inputs, Speakon outputs. Dimensions: 19" x 1U. Depth 50cm. Weight: 9.5Kg That's an amazing price
  8. Hya Revelationroadshow I think we are reading from the same text book. I know what you mean about the sound has to be just right from both top and bottom and if not quite right it will irritate you all night long. Out of interest how long have you had the Mackies and do they sound as good as when you bought them? This is one of my biggest concerns.
  9. I have also been in contact with Don recently via email, very helpful indeed.

  12. Hya fellas many thanks for the review on these cabs. As it stands I am in the process of building my own mobile disco and am doing some extensive research on what speakers to buy. Due to very good reviews I was dead set on a pair of Mackie SRM 450s basically as for now I will have to work out of my estate car so the smaller size of plastic cabs being ideal. I will be honest in saying that I have heard allot of good reports on the Class-D cabs but with obvious scepticism's due to the low price of them so sort of having a slight raised eyebrow to how good they actually are as its not on
  13. Hya Active Discos in simple terms they are rubbish, I bought the HDCD1 recently of the back of using the D2 but just not the same in how it works. The only real way of creating organized files is by creating play-list. The D2 has the library software so you can organize within sub folders etc. Also with the D2 the keyboard is fully functional were as the HDCD1 is purely for searching on the hard drive and nothing ells. I also found that it takes hours to transfer files, I even tried taking the standard IDE drive out and putting in my PC as a slave drive so I could transfer the files fa
  14. Thanks for your feedback danger mouse, to be honest am not getting that much good feeback on them at the moment so will probably stay clear. Although may be ok as a cheap spares for backup for the money. smile icon
