  1. it is the same with most things, my dads bigger than your dad and so on. what is the crux of it is.................... on a forum like this it should not be occuring in any way. and to say another forum member is a poor professional or even an amateur is a crime. this fprum is to for like minded individuals i believe it says. not petty sniping and bragging rights. if you cant get passed the size of your rig and get over the penis substitute attitude this forum will go backwards not forwards. professionalism is an attitude and way of business, not what gear you use
  2. see post #15 where i took the quote from. it didnt come out as a quote tho looks like i wrote it but i never.

  4. same old same old. when is the snobbery/ mix dont mix/ thing gonna end? i dont mix, i aint spent grands on the best of everything. i have decent mid size system, i have powered cabs plus a set of bins and tops. a berry mixer with fx which is more than adequate imho. i use a deck stand with goalpost, still need a starcloth but no rush. i dont mix or beat match, i have been known to go from heavy rock to smooth soul in a flash i do not nor do i want to create a clubby type gig. so am i an amateur too? i dont advertise, dont have a website running. yet i get
  5. i'd object to most of it to be honest. it is far too weighted toward the 'dj company' whsat if you have to source say 50 tunes, you have to pay for that yourself. you dont even get a chance to negotiate that cost. i'd tell 'em to stick it, who wants to wait up to a month for their cash? who wants a cheque on the night? load of old rubbish that t&c

  8. i have noticed that a lot of you guys take the michael out of northern soul. is this because you really dont understand it? or you werent there? it was /is an iconic music scene. the heart of underground music in the 70's. a whole culture evolved around it not like the dross we play now to fill a floor. i can fill a NS floor in a second with one song and keep it full all night. can you do that with todays stuff? change genres. different clubbies stuff, d&b, trance, dance........need i go on? NS was a way of life!!! so before you all besmirch it,
