  1. Happy birthday! http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/139.gif
  2. welcome :-D now i should be bombarded with PMs by those that remember me...lol
  3. USA - 586,000 units sold 1st week. Now, if any of you pay attention to RAP beef... Ja Rule and G-Unit are bitter arch-rivals....so 50 Cent "The General" had to point out that the album R.U.L.E. in 10 weeks made 560.000 albums sold, and the Game album in 1 week got more than that.... just some info http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif
  4. Congrats! http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/laugh.gif
  5. hehe i'm headin' to jolly ol' scotland in about 1 month...on a Rugby Tour with my school http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif but summer - headin' to nice ol' sunny california.
  6. I'm a Survivor! LoL...i can't remember if Paula remembers this topic about karoake....and this song in particular....(was it paula even? i can't remember)
  7. Now, although HIGHLY controversial hip-hop: The Game, hailing from the streets of Compton, has released his MUCH anticpated album, The Documentary...and the streets are buzzin'! basically, this album, has been highly praised, and has been predicted to sell 600,000 + alone in the USA on its first week. FYI - Record Sales are based always on numbers sold (duh)! If an artist/group sells 500,000, they get GOLD status. sell platinum - 1,000,000. Multi-platinum - numerous platinum plaques. and finally, the doup de grace (is that the right term) is the Diamond - 10,000,000 records sold
  8. i myself have switched to Mozilla...MSIE gave me a nasty spyware called NWS, CWS, and MANY other variants...i had a 808 viruses on one scan (all in the windows or system32 folder!) It took me 3 weeks to clean, wipe, and finally protect my PC. so, Mozilla is my new browser http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/laugh.gif
  9. you think that's a lot.... I got a full 150 list... PLUS an extra 100 or so from deleted (but not blocked contacts...) usually...on a quiet night in Canada...i can see other fellow canadians (About 50 of 'em) in their cut-out icebergs online trying to beat the boredom of the ice snow http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif
  10. heyyy! i'll be here for a while. i got new looping software (Reason) and that's got me bak into the DJ kick. its been a long time... NOW, i didn't say i RETIRED from skateboarding http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/tongue.gif i have a brand new set-up in my closet, waiting for my return http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/laugh.gif i guess what i'm mostly surprised is that my account survived this long...
  11. I dunno if Numark is big in Europe, but in North American the Numark Turntables are pretty well-known http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif If you can, the Numark kit, i think the 1650s are an excellent start: they include two Numark TT-1650 Direct Drive Turntables, and one two-channel mixer. It is also at a reasonable price, about the same as the Gemini TTs Chris was talking about
  12. I know i'm going to get shot....but i'm bak again! (this is what..the 10th time?) lol Most of y'all won't know me, cuase i haven't been active since last year summer Now, my name is Crooks. I can't remember any of my nicknames i got, but hey, its all good. Now, i am not the DJ that would be meant for this forum, but i started here...and i love the ppl here (i can't say for sure atm (at the moment) due to my lack of being here for a while). I am into making beats and such, and scratchin'! mixing is aight too...but i'm not really a party DJ (at least not yet http://www.dj-forum.co.uk
  13. it depends on where u live. i think in most countries, u are no tallowed to, cause it infringes in copyright rules. but like i said, i'm not sure. i kno in canada ur allowed to download songs.
  14. do any of u guys use Billboard top 200 or anything similiar to that to find new hits/songs to play in gigs? or do u guys hear from word of mouth or mix-cds?
