  1. Thanks SSDJ, I'll give it a go and let you know how I get on. Steve
  2. It's about 10 degrees out in the vertical. I can adjust it on the T bar but I would like to know how to adjust them properly.
  3. I have noticed that after turning on my X-scans and they have gone through their startup sequence the mirrors are in different vertical positions. I would like to adjust them but obviously don't want to make thing worse so has anyone any experience of doing this?
  4. Hi Everyone, Just to introduce myself, I have just started gigging again after a 15 year break. I live in the South of France and I am targeting the ex-pat community for weddings, children’s parties etc. Having sold most of my old gear I am re-equipping myself with all new. To date I have bought a Dell laptop running Traktor pro through DJ I/O, Gateway laptop running My-DMX and backup Traktor, Numark CD Mix1, 2 x Gemini GX 1201 active speakers, 2 x Impossibled's, 1 x Miracled, 2 x American DJ X-Scan led scanners and a few other lights, smoke etc. I'm just about to buy a Kam Starcluster 3D
  5. I have 2 Impossibleds and a Miracled and I tried to do exactly that but it wouln't work. If anyone knows how to do it I would be very interested.
  6. At first I misunderstood the relevance of the drivebelt mentioned by Superstardeejay but the tech explained that if the belt had gone teardrop shaped it may not shut the drawer fully and therefore not align the disk. He suggested holding the mechanism and moving the belt a half a turn to move the kink, I tried this but it made no difference. I have tried cleaning the lens a couple of times to no avail so I have ordered a replacement drive. It's going to cost £35 so I think it's worth it. The reason why the drive spins up the disk when I tip the unit forwards with the trays facing down towards
  7. Thanks for the reply, I tried cleaning the lens but unfortynately it made no difference. I phoned a technician who suggested it may be the drive belt but that also failed to fix the problem so I've ordered a new drive. Has anyone changed a drive in the CD Mix 1? I'm fairly technically minded but at the moment I can't see any securing screws and part of the drive is obscured by a circuit board. I'm assuming that I need to remove this board first. Any tips greatfully received.
  8. Thanks Jim, I thought it might be the drive but I never thought of replacing the optic, is this easily done? I live in France so sourcing spare parts is difficult to say the least. Can you recommend a source for a new drive. Thanks again. Steve
  9. Perhaps I didn't explain very well. The disk is in the drive, but doesn't spin, it moves slightly with each click. Eventually it starts to spin and plays. I can see this happening as I have dismantled the unit.
  10. Hi Everyone, My CD Mix 1 has suddenly developed a rather anoying problem. One of the drives intermittently won't spin up, it just clicks and the disk moves slightly. I can solve the problem by lifting the whole unit on its end but obviously this is not ideal. Thanks for any info.
