  1. I mix a lot using loop and sample no matter what function but i learned years ago on a "Citronic Thames II" with vary speed turtables, reading the crowd along the way. BUT and its a rather large but!!!! its not as important as timing to what you play.....when to play it. I know some amazing jocks who chop and talk-in the next track seemlessly. .......I cant do karaoke but i dont lose any sleep over that arf arf !!!!
  2. My Silver Track Suit wins every time.......now then now then !!!!!! arf arf
  3. X Y And Z - Pop will eat itself
  4. I did the same with a fire engine a couple of years ago..........went well but Full of red tape. I eventually sold it making a small profit and as far as i know still driving about Scotland somewhere. I also know someone who bought a routemaster london bus, kitted it out with a big sound system, dancefloor lights etc and made a fortune in the midlands. best of luck in your new venture big chap!!!!!
  5. No big chap , I spent 9 years abroad coming back home only twice in that time, but did change agencies a few times. When your working abroad other agents will try and steal you away ,offering better money or conditions. My last contract involved working on a Radio Station in Lancaster PA in the states WLAN fm97 I had the oppertunity to stay there but decided to come home and work for a Station in Scotland. It was only part-time so i joined the brigade. Since being back the club scene has died a little and the financial gain is not such an attraction any more. So I've built up a rat
  6. Now then Now then young man aauuuh !!!! What have we here for Dr Nik ?????? None other than a "Jim ll fix it" badge..... .....I really miss top of the pops LOL
  7. If you want to work abroad AND visit some of the best countries get in contact with Julianas of London. I worked for their sister Co Bacchus before moving on to a few other agents I worked in Norway, Dubia,Hong Kong Bahrain,Singapore and finally the USA before heading back home to Scotland to join the Fire Brigade. Make sure you get a contract of employment and best of luck
  8. I go away for 4 days and come back to this!!!!!!!!!! Arf Arf !!! Firstly the "Elderly Gent" WAS the owner and the manager. Yes it is his right to escort anyone out of HIS premise. He was attending to the bar and watched me set-up in the area that was designated by his restaraunt manager and if their was a problem where i set-up it should have been resolved BEFORE i started to set-up said equiptment. The noise abbaitment order was official and stamped by said important persons of Northumberland council, which was waved in my face by Basil Fawlty AFTER i had set my gear. I have done to
  9. I have to add this because i suppose its similar to this thread. I just done a wedding in Otterburn Northumberland over the weekend and as soon as i entered the building got the distinct feeling they didnt want me there. This booking was done through a wedding fair which i done last year and went through the usual proceedure of meeting with the B&G up at the venue, showing my documentation to the manager of the hotel and of course to see the venue, which turned out to be a"Shabby" marque out back. My only concern of the meeting was the long walk through through the kitchen along 2 corr
  10. Just viewed the CCTV footage and Mr Gerrard is a thug (2 uppercuts and a right hook) No matter if the guy was a DJ or not Mr Money-bags should go to jail for being a Joey Barton clone. 6 months in beside all the maddies would bring him down a peg or 2 Calm down calm down !!!!!!!
  11. Shania Twain - Man i feel like a woman Queen - Dont stop me now Four Seasons - Oh what a night Gloria Gaynor - I will Survive and Strauss - 4th Movement in G Minor ( play it at the end......empties the place in 45.7 secs and gets you home nice and early)
  12. I think you have to be animated......otherwise you dont create an atmosphere. But then again every DJ is different.....some remain seated
  13. Yet in another thread you only say GOODNIGHT........aint that using the mic??? or do you just cut the music and Holler.???? I think a DJ sitting down is slobbish and tacky......unless you've lost All feeling in your pins them why sit.... Even better why not sit in your living room and beam via satelite you sitting on your rear end sipping tea...CRAZY As for Slimboy Fat etc....cant say ive played any of there stuff....Boring Dribble.
  14. What DJ do you know doesnt bring a Mic with them???? And " If i had Oooops Upside your head with me i would have played that as well"........That would have been fun to watch getting your crowd Gee'd up without a MIC................
