  1. Well, I can happily say that my first disco (which was for a friends 21st and her mums 40th, as well as her Dads the following day), was a massive success! The floor was heaving and the crowd all loved it. I even got some people not asking, but saying 'I want you to do my next party. I'll hire the kit you need. You're awesome'. Felt very good, I have to say :-) I was quite apprehensive about it all but it definitely paid off in the end! I think I'll do some more first and see how each audience varies, and if I like it then I'll highly likely consider taking it seriously. I just enjoy mak
  2. Yes, but some are from my family's cds so I haven't bought every single one. I've probably spent at the very least £16,000 though. Not too sure however. Thanks for the welcome. Steve, I do have a usb controller (it has 2 ports in it) and I got it off eBay. It does work with my Mac but I don't think i plugged it in right. Thanks everybody. I'll be with someone who has hired all the equipment already and they know what they're doing, so I'm told. :-)
  3. Hello, smile icon My name's Joe and I'm an aspiring DJ (of sorts). I got into music 3 years ago on a serious scale and now I have over 23500 songs. I've never yet done any proper dj'ing as it were, but have the software on my Mac and am doing a 21st party this weekend for a friend. Seeing people dance to my stuff would make me so happy. I'm looking forward to it quite a lot, especially as all the equipment is being hired from a wolverhampton based company called dj heaven.
