  1. Tell me how the chemical composition makes it highly toxic !!!!! ionised or distilled water !!!!! white vinigar The word "vinegar" is from the French term vin aigre, meaning "sour wine." White vinegar is made from allowing a distilled alcohol, like white wine, vodka, or gin, to oxidize. This changes the chemical components of the alcohol, making it more sour, but also more useful Your steam iron will work best if it doesn't have pesky mineral deposits in the steam vents and spray nozzles. Fill the water chamber with a mix of white vinegar and distilled water. Set it upright
  2. ok ... all the suggestions above are a bit unclear !!! the only thing that would let the block get very hot is if the rockwool packed around the block was either soaked in fluid, or burnt away !!! generaly, as with jem/martin machins, this is easy to replace !!! check and flush through the block with ionised water & white vinigar... to flush away the crytalisation insite the block good luck !!!
  3. how did it go andy !!! i had an exelent night in the other room with the adults .... yoiu should have come in .... i had them doing alsorts !!! lol good one matey ... nice to meet you again !!! lol
  4. well i have personal knowledge of the s&h team !!! i know them very well!! if you were to go that little bit further with the dosh ... go for the showled multicoulur led system !!!!! very classy and gets loads of attention !!!
  5. there are some god gensets ou theere at 10kva and above, but use a reputable supplier of gensets, and most definantly do NOT do it solely on the cheapest price !!!
  6. well having plenty of experience in this field ..... most new gensets have power correction & filtering at 10 kva and above. thebiggest thing that will really kill of a genset is huge current shifts bass will suffer as the genset cannot give instant draw of current that an amplifier requires . i have a load calculator,,,,,.. and alway give a generous 25% margin on the size of genset required
  7. well i see that alot of the newer member have not done much research into strobe effects & also epileptic conditions. the epileptic association branch i had dealt with in the past had done much to help me in getting a definitive answer firstly epileptics can do alotto help themselves... new medication, and the old chestnut or covering one eye before seizure is iminent !!! secondly us guys can do alot as well. strobes no more than 13 flashes per second for no more than 15 seconds in a 5 minute period. theatre and production as well as TV commercials are well aware o
  8. your best supplier for wools serge is either stage electrics... whare they do a custom cust & stitch service or s&h where the best starcloth is made !!!! take your pick i did ... and i got mine frome stage... at a bargain price !!!
  9. well as i pointed out earlier where could you get parts withing 3 days off the shelf with other manufacturers the chinese parts tend to have long waiting times for parts !!!!! and other unusual kit ... tends to go through different suppliers ... so again time !!! what you need is kit that is reliable .... easy to service... parts available and minimum downtime if it fails !!! martin products though expensive...... give all the above thats what you are paying for !!!!
  10. just to add a safety piece here guys dont overload your stands.... especialy winch ups ..... safe working heights..... the base area of the stand and the weight of the suspended gear must be within the safe working calculations. additional safety bond to be made if practical to do so and another saying to keep you guys safe if it looks unsafe... dont do it !!!!!
  11. well guys martin lighting whatever you say is plain & simply put high quality gear, long lasting, and easy to use also the gear is easy to maintian, and reliable. if you shop around for the deals... you will get the gear for a great deal less that the retail pries quoted. the martin label seems to have had a reputation for expensive, and rightly so... to keep the gear at good quality costs money. whay do you think that the cheaper lights fail early or dont seem to last as long..... build quality & quality of board componants. the martin service backup
  12. absolute junk...... used 2 recently on jire setups both have failed in 4 weeks..... knackered !!! gone and bought 2 citronic mixers.. and still working.... no faults
  13. some evl spins had the dips upside down !!!!!
  14. yes you have the idea.... its just to keep the water out !!!!! might be easier to get a fan from pc world for 2-3 £ and mount it on the box !!! just make sure you have plent of free air flow around the unit !!! chris topnotch
  15. the bit you are looking for is a mac dome it has cooling fans to heep the enclosed space cool bit pricey... but so is a mac250 to repair with water damage !!!!! may i sugest using a large plasic box with a cutout for the output light and mount a high volume fan on the back of the boc to heep the temeratures down !!!!!
