  2. unfortunately I was too drunk to remember but seem to remember Rainbows since you've been gone mixed with some sort of disco track which escapes me now. It wasn't the mix from disco to rock so much but the frequency of change. If it were me I would have gone from 1 genre to another but this guy kept switching back and forth for about 6 or 7 tracks which to my mind took a fair bit of courage as the risk of clearing the floor was high. In my view this guy was absolutely spot on and it was a top night.
  3. Hi Peeps, Sorry I haven't been around for a while but the new job is just mental!!! Anyway to the matter in hand. Last Friday(9/12) I went to the wifes works party at the Devere hotel in Grantham and due to the amount of free booze I can't remember the name of the disco who was working. This DJ was absolutely fantastic and at several points during the evening put songs together which I would have never even dreamed of but it worked really well and as we all know when we are out socially we will always look at another DJ's performance differently to the 'average guest'. Well I am pleased to
  4. Reminds me of this weekend, kiddies party 3 till 5, sat down at home, dinner in front of me at 1815, phone goes, its one of my regulars asking if im available, I ask when and he tells me its not for him but a mate.It turns out that a poor couple have been stood up on thier wedding day and the disco was meant to start at 1800,how much did I want?.Well call me soft but I couldnt take advantage of them so I had the figure in my head but something made me ask what they were going to pay originally to which I was told £50 more than I was going to ask so I said I would match it as most people would.
  5. While i'm not into the stuff myself, I would turn a blind eye as the chances are, if it is being smoked its cannabis and small quantities are now 'overlooked'. As for the booze vs drugs debate, I went to the Strawberry Fair in Cambridge last month with the wife and 10y/o daughter and felt perfectly safe although people were smoking drugs quite openly and there was no trouble(my daughter did feel a little light headed after we passed the reggae tent, mind you so did I!!). As for all other drugs a short listen to 'White Lines' says it all I think. just my thoughts http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/ht
  6. there you go then, the exact location today is Berth 10, Port of Tilbury.
  7. QUOTE (Corabar Steve @ Jun 14 2005, 01:43 PM) Oh, I'm going on something my Aunt told me many moons ago. I belive she had some finantial involvement with Caroline in the 60's, if memory serves corectly may have been the original ship? maybe someone else could shed some light on this
  8. QUOTE (Corabar Steve @ Jun 14 2005, 12:03 PM) Thought their ship was the Mi Amigo? Hi Steve, didn't mean to, the only ship I remember was the Ross Revenge and that was in the 80's when they were broadcasting close to Radio Lazer
