I am currently at college studying Music Tech, as well as a part time DJ. My genre of music is funky house and i love a bit of DnB. At college i am learning how to use cubase sx as well as having hands on experience in a studio recording live sound and using the mixing desk. I quit my job to do this course and so far it has been worth it, my dj skills have inproved and the way i listen to music has changed, (for the better). Working my way around the mixer is a lot easyer, now i know what what you can change, and how it effects the tune your playin. The best thing about Djing is that i love doin it!
  1. Thanks for the advice everyone. I'm from London (Wimbledon). http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/thumbup.gif And fanxs for the warm welcome. http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/071.gif could anyone tell me, how to go about getting some decent samples, as i am currently at college studing Music Tech, and i need some decent links to get free samples off the net, so i can mess around with them on cubase sx. thanks again for the welcome!!
  2. In the last year or so i have found a new love for funky house, but the only problem is that i now nothing about it! Growing up i was a pure DnB head and loved the rave scene, but now as i am a bit older my taste buds have changed and i would like to give the house scene a go. i perfer mixing house music i feel it more than DnB if that make sense, any way my problem is that i know no one in the scene, and i want to get started on my dj career, so what i am asking is where do i go for help and advice on playing out, who would be the people to contact about wanting to get started in this scene.
