  2. Hi John, If your music is all in MP3 format anyway, do you not have a laptop you can take to gigs? You did mention they were on your computer but I'm guessing its a desktop computer. If you had a laptop with all your music on you can download Virtual DJ the home edition for free (from the Virtual DJ website) and easily search and add tracks to a playlist as you go. If I'm doing background music for the start of the night, then I checkout the crowd and make a playlist there and then suitable for the nights guests. Piece of cake... :msn-wink:
  3. I occasionally get asked for dubstep and I will play it if I think it fits in with what I'm playing but not many dance to it. Can you actually dance to it?? I used to be a garage DJ but for some reason I can't get to grips with dubstep. Every time I play it I get my nan's voice in my head saying "this is just noise, isn't it!" I think I'm getting old...
  4. Hi All, I'm currently getting quite a few double bookings and are looking to find another DJ in Essex who I can pass work onto for a fee of around £30-£40. Gigs will be all the usual types: weddings, corporate, birthdays and kids etc. Must be experienced, confident, reliable and good with the mic. Must also have their own up to date equipment, transport, insurance and P.A.T. If anyone is interested or would like any more info then you can contact me by: Phone: 07867 877815 Email: info@dventertainment.co.uk Skype: darrenveitch83 Look forward to hearing from you
  5. I'm with you deejaymitch, its all about the money for some people isn't it! (JOKE!) If you guys still enjoy doing the whole mobile dj thing then i don't see where the problem is? charging extra to talk on the mic, leave it out Rodney! Kind Regards
  6. Sounds like a good idea, definitely some thing i would probably do.
  7. i just want to say that i get this quite a lot, but there isn't any thing more rewarding than at the end of the night when you feel like you should of done a better job than people say things like "that was very good", "i'll have to write you a referance", "i've never seen people on the dance floor all night before". these are just the comments from the last wedding i did which i thought was a flop and just want to pack my stuff away half way through the night! Peace out
