Do You Miss Totp?

I used to really look forward to watching TOTP when I was a kid. When I took up DJ'ing, I still enjoyed watching the show although it did annoy me when the format kept changing / mucked about with, no thanks to the shows executive producer Andi Peters towards the end, IMO. I really enjoy TOTP2 but miss the weekly TOTP show.

With the exception of a couple of periods when it changed, I've always considered Top of the Pops a bit tame and cheesey.

 

I prefer the format of shows such as The Tube, Later, and from further back Whistle Test and RSG.

I won't miss it, as I found too much of the miming to be of a very low standard...

 

I do miss the old style Top 40 rundown, 2 hours rapid-fire on a Sunday, since they stretched it out to 3 hours with a load of useless waffle, but that's another subject.
