3rd Generation Discos 0
I usually use a table but i was wondering what other people use. I mean do you use special stands. Do you use these rackmount stands with room for a mixer on top and lits above you ??
NineLives 0
I use an Ultimax Stand with the lighting bar above . For faster setup/takedowns, we only remove the lighting bars and leave the stand built up(which is also prewired ) as the van is large enough to take the stand complete. The van is a 2.5 ton Merceces 308D. which is now in the last month of its MOT , so god knows yet how much another year on the road is going to cost. kazzachi 0
I use euromet stands - they are brilliant and extend or shorten to accommodate a different range of sizes of equipment WE LOVE KAREN, AND IT'S GREAT TO HAVE HER BACK !!!! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
ChrisPointon 0
I'm also an Ultimax Stand user as well for the majority of functions, although for the larger gigs (Happily few and far between) I use a combination of Square 2" Dual Trussing and 8 x 4M Powerdrive Stands (A time consuming nightmare to set up even with Roadies!) - then I still use the bottom part of the Ultimax for the Audio equipment. DJ Spinko 0
I have an angled Pro-el stand for the CD/Mixer cube, absolutely fantastic, cost about £65, it folds up smaller than a Keyboad stand but twice as strong. For lighting, I'm using Mobil-Tech ST3001 wind-ups and 2 x 2m Showcraft Ladder trussing, cost £600, which all fits in neatly with a little bit of overhang on the passengers seat of my trusty Daihatsu Hi-Jet. The trussing is sometimes a pig to connect but I think that I'll try to find some why of fixing that. I know they look crap, the Daihatsu that is, but they are cheap to insure and run.
