OOOOO i have something to add to this one for a change.... I am way too part time and dont even have a full time job at the moment... so if anybody wants anything covered......... http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif

Saturday night was a 50th Birthday in Chigwell..... and I thought i had it tough since the playlist was mainly 50's to early 60's.

Started well with the room being upstairs.. the carpark being miles away, and even though i was travelling light i was beat after lugging it all up.

DJ corner, something had died there the night before... i have never seen such a concentration of plug in air freshners......and the manager walking past every 10 mins to spray.

Still people arrived... i was in a different room the bar and got surrounded by the children and helium balloons, fighting. At that point I feared the worst.

The night went on, speeches, cake cutting and happy birthday.

Then on with the show, and I suprisingly had 2 hours of a full floor. Diana Ross was the biggest winner (played most of her back catalogue).. but equally Que Sera Sera (hermes house band) worked so well, as apparently it was the first song the birthday girl learnt to sing..

A great night, the first time my CD player has jumped in 4 years..... the floor was like a trampoline!

Wonderful thank you email this morning... and a request for cards!!! She is an event organizer, so heres hoping!

Now, back to looking for a 9-5
