  2. well i retired from dj'ing just under 2 years ago and the last track i played was an Irish track that i have used before but on this night it seemed fitting tittle: bugger off, not sure of the artist it went like this "bugger off you B******s bugger off F:cense:k you" and i can safely say i havnt opened any of the cd cases since then.
  3. QUOTE (jakemuk @ Aug 20 2006, 12:33 PM) QUOTE (DJ Marky Marc @ Aug 20 2006, 12:31 PM) Only if the management request it.... But I try to not play venues where limmiters are set way too low... Do they request it often ? Every gig i played there yes and also all the jobs i did there was for an agent and on the bottom of the contract it states Artists must bypass the limiter with the extention lead provided by the managment. The even labled the lead with the hotels name and a tag saying please return me to the reception.
  4. Yes and have done many times only in the same venue at the request of the managment,They also supplyed the extention lead for us to bypass the limiter. Egerton House Hotel in the Barn
  5. Am i right in thinking that i dont need any PLi? As all the gear is instaled in the venue and all i will be taking in is my cd's and laptop And The PAT doesnt run out till next year on the laptop
  6. QUOTE (DJ Marky Marc @ Aug 14 2006, 01:36 PM) QUOTE "state of the art sound and lighting" Ive been told this before... Turns out they ment "in a state" and "looks like pre school student art" Thats what i was thinking, but this place has a good rep So like i say Fingers crossed
  7. QUOTE (otronics @ Aug 14 2006, 11:06 AM) Be sure to check out the venue and its gear before the gig(s) if you haven't already... I'm planning to vist the venue in November as i will be there all December. From what i have read of the website and what the agency has told me it is ment to be "state of the art sound and lighting" So we shall see. I will be buying any Now albums ive missed and any thing else like that im just stuck on what tracks to use seeing as i have not heard any new stuff since Feb this year. I might buy a couple of DMC discs as well, I just dont wanna spend
  8. Hi Guys Some of you might remember i gave up giging earlyer this year and sold all the gear due to ill health, Well a few weeks ago the agency i had used for a number of years has asked me back to cover some dates in December this year (pending the right type of pain killers http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/pepsi.gif ). I got the contacts back this week so the deal is done and im working again this xmas http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/wallbash.gif . The good news is i dont need any gear just CD's and Laptop as the venue has every thing i need instaled http://www.dj-f

And as for making a return to the game i can say yes but it for a couple of gigs during the year plus end of Nov till Early Jan during xmas as the Agency i used has been in touch asking if i fanced a redencey (sp) at a large venue in Manchester where i dont need any gear as its all installed and ment to be state of the art plus there are Acts on most nights as well during xmas.
