Paul Smith 0
I'm just taking a break from doing my annual accounts for the tax man (early/late?) and I don't have a final total yet for bank charges but it runs into several hundred pounds. All those 55p's for writing cheques/banking cheques + direct debits etc seem to add up in a way only an accountants calculator can fathom Anyway I came across a form for Alliance & Leicester who offer free business banking - forever. The only things that have put me off going down this route before is that I used to get personal service at my bank (o-er missus) however that has now disappeared and then the cost of transfering all my DDs (£4.50 to cancel each) but this now seems a practicable way to go as the savings will rectify within a year. Anyway the point is, if you are just starting & don't have all these transfer problems, then the A&L may be worth looking at long term
jamminroadshow 0
I live in Stoke and unless you can make banking hours you can not put in cheques as the doors are locked (due to some incident) so lloyds are not great for me they also moved all the business managers out of Hanley so have to speak with managers on the phone
