Revelationroadshow 0
New DMX controller arrived today. Seems that the date + and date - outputs on the controller are the other way around from my LED PARS - pins 2 & 3 on the controler are 3 & 2 on the light. Is that normal and how do I put it right? Can you buy DMX leads or adaptors that swap pins 2 & 3 over?
Gary 0
Its worth giving the manual a close bit of scrutiny. Quite a few of the more modern dmx controllers offer either a software or hardware way o reversing the DMX polarity. There may simply be a switch on the rear of the controller, or a menu option, or some 2 or 3 button combo to hold down whilst switching the unit on, for example. Failing that, I'd suggest getting a sor dmx lead and swapping the wires around in that one lead. Mark that lead up very noticably (as "reverser"and just use that lead first, from the back of the controller either to he first lighting efect, or just between the back of the controller then into your first "normal" lead.
