I'm going to have to reinstall Windows on my laptop as the performance is now :poo: but I need to know how to save my Outlook 2002 messages so I can reinstall these as well?

What you are looking for is a .pst file. It should tell you the location if you look Email Accounts within options. I'm sorry i don't have the 2002 version to refer to though.

my computer - program files - outlook express - messages

 

save all inbox messages and any other folders u have made - then when reinstalled - copy those files over.

it actually could be either a PST file or an OST file depending on how he set it up.

 

by default Outlook will call it OUTLOOK.OST

 

check for this

Also, you should also be able to locate this file in the following folder:

C:\Documents and Settings\<your_username>\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook
