Dukesy 0
The Zutons have been dropped by their record label Sony BMG. Despite writing one of the decade's best-selling songs in 'Valerie' (a hit for them in 2006, and famously covered by Amy Winehouse and Mark Ronson in 2007), the Liverpool band have parted company from the major label. deejaymitch 0
Shame. I liked the Zutons. Even though Ronson and Winehouse have forever ruined "Valerie" for me (I loved the original), I like a lot of their stuff. And the bird had a cracking pair of pins. I suppose it serves them right though for writing their own songs and playing instruments. Maybe if they had some dead relatives to exploit, the record company might have put the decision to a phone vote. Ian Stewart 0
the only reason any band is dropped is because they don't make enough money for the record company Major labels are not interested in developing a career, it's all about a fast buck I have a couple of friends who work at record companies, they feel Guitar based stuff is coming to the end of it's popularity, and are looking for the next big trend They feel it's gonna be disco again, and are looking for new oroginal disco bands Mobile Party DJ For Weddings Parties Corporate Events Covering London Essex Kent Sussex Surrey Bucckinghamshire Hertfordshire & Essex
