  10. With Christmas coming, and my birthday and graduation already past, I'm looking to buy some new equipment. I was also thinking that becoming a mobile Dj would be a good first job for me. Aside from training with a "mentor" DJ, what equipment do you think would be necessary to start up as a true mobile DJ? Thanks a bunch! http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/042.gif

  12. O boy. http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/sad.gif http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/wallbash.gif A vinyl is short for a vinyl record. They are plastic-like rigid discs about a foot in diameter played on record players. A needle runs along grooves in the record and vibrates. These vibrations are amplified and sent on to a playing medium, like speakers. Many Dj's use vinyl because of its scratchability, and full sound. Many use CD's instead because they are cheaper, more available, and more transportable. I personally liuke vinyl, and would reccomend it to most people.
