Can't you make up a suitable box out of plywood and pine, glued and pinned. You don't even need to use hinges, just make the lid a slip fit over the top.

It shouldn't take more than a couple of hours to complete.

Prolight market a selection of cases for their various effects.

They make one which will hold 2 x Scimitars or Leos which are, I think, the same size as the Dynamos.

Any Prolight dealer should be able to help you. Have a look on the Prolight website.

These people make excellent professional custom cases that are strong but very lightweight and are very cost-effective.

A great investment for your equipment.

I have 2 of the prolight cases for 2xPanthers and 2xJaguars.

+ve things.

They are prett robust, look great and stack easily. The foam

inserts keep everything well protected and there's space for

cables and controllers. The lids come off completely so there's

no fiddly loading and unloading issues with the top bit

hitting you on the head as the hinge swings 8(

-ve things

If you are using tham a lot you might want to get custom cases

made as the weight of the lights can create a

twisting force on the reinforced boards that Prolight use.

I dont use them enough to justify this so the Prolights are ideal.

All the best,

Chris.

Prolight make a case specifically made for the dynamos, it will hold all 4 of the lights, not sure of the retail price though

I have 4 dynamos in the Pro-Light case.

It does exactly what you expect, protects them from bumps in transit and makes them easier to carry in and out.

For me, as I have said on other threads, the white open gobo is just too bright for regular use, so i bought the Thomann DMX controller and use that on some very basic programs I have written to avoid the white (even worse when it strobes).

I found the little hand-held controller that came with them still used the white too often, even though you could stop the strobing by selecting the slow program.

All in all, very pleased with mine.

One word of advice. If you use the small hand held controller, make sure you have something else on as it does have periods when it goes dark (as part of the program) but if you are in a jet-black room, it would go very dark indeed.

I use a Chameleon 3, but a little water light or something similar would be fine.
