transeurope 0
For various reasons, I too am interested in a set of plastic cabs and have been tracking that market closely. A dealer who sells A Really Famous Make of Speakers also plays in a band. He got stuck the other day for speakers for his gig (rule of thumb, the more expensive the brand, frequently the worse the service dept...). Anyway, his only option to solve his dilemma quickly was to buy a pair of Prolights. As I have been pricing and generally discussing the whole plastic cabinet issue he asked me to purchase them for him, because he didn't want to be seen buying them, seeing as how he was the dealer for The Really Famous Brand. I agreed to do the foul deed. Well, I was sooo keen to know what he thought of them. I asked him this morning. Surprise! He thought they were excellent http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/beer.gif . He really complimented their bass sound. This is a major vote of confidence for the L400s. Kingy 0
I only have 1 pair of plastic cabs. Active Yamaha cs300s. These are a 1x12" and a 1" horn. Generally used for monitoring, but very good. Personally prefer them to Mackies.
