brianmole 0
Hi all, I have picked up a nice bit of work where I have to play commercial club / r&b, pop etc... I know these quite well, but I am looking for suggestions of what CURRENTLY works really well for you if you do these nights. Jimbo55 0
50 Cent could be worth a play later in the evening now his new film is out. Sorry I always think of something else after I have posted http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/wallbash.gif Is it a stop off on the way to a late dance club? If so could be worth considering some warm up stuff to get them going (and get them to hang on a bit longer). Jimbo Digital Fusion Entertainments Bose L1 system user. milhouse 0
QUOTE (brianmole @ Feb 9 2006, 07:14 PM) Thanks chaps, I meant to ask what reactions you're getting to beep by pussycat dolls and the new BEP track? I played it last week at my resident Friday night gig. It is a specialist Urban and R&B night that I do (attended by R&B fans who listen to nothing but) It has a bar atmosphere 8-11, then nightclubby from 11-2. To be honest the reaction was a bit rubbish. I was expecting it to go down very well and for everyone to know the words (due to its heavy airplay on stations such as Radio 1) but I got the impression that nobody had heard it before. It might take a further 1 to 2 weeks to become popular I think - or people might just not like it.
