Dukesy 0
QUOTE Discodirect - that's the price per album (ie 10 - 15 tunes) surely? Still for those with more money than sense but... Yes, stand corrected! http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/oops.gif Reference the BPI comment...... QUOTE its not going after individual downloaders of illegal, pirated files instead they are concentrating on the actual pirates who make money out of it. ....yet! Chris, I vagely remember someone offering their services (at a rate) to rip music to a hard-drive a while back, but don't think this is the same 'provider'.
DJ Marky Marc 0
it not a scam , they are advertising in National publications..... and even quote a recomendation from the publication on there website. <a href="http://www.djassociates.org"><img src="http://www.djassociates.org/anims/compres_banner.gif" alt="Join the DJ Associates Disc Jockey Association" border="0" width="468" height="60"></a>

ChrisPointon 0
QUOTE BPI has NOT prosecuted a single case against copying that I could find and even states at present its not going after individual downloaders of illegal, pirated files instead they are concentrating on the actual pirates who make money out of it. Agreed, but since this is offering a service on a commercial level then it would fall into that category especially as the material hasn't been purchased by them, so even if the BPI changed the law overnight, to allow individuals the right to transfer their legally purchased material, this sort of service would still be illegal. However they make it appear on the website this service is basically commercial piracy, which would make them high profile. I've just spent a few minutes searching on a well known Auction site, a simple search for keywords brought up entire NOW collections offered in Raw MP3 format on DVD for around the price of 2 originals, along with about 500 other similar auctions. - Proof enough of commercial pirates at work on a large scale, and I doubt that this is even the tip of the iceberg. MadGutts 0
Perhaps the BPI should run a simular Scheme! http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/laugh.gif Then at least they cant have us for breaking the law !!!!!!! The only UK number 1 record to contain in its lyrics the title of the song which knocked it off number 1 was... Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen (lyric: "Mamma Mia")! The Forums Computer Nutter and expert! Discos, Lighting and Sound Reinforcement in and around Oxfordshire, Wiltshire, Gloustershire and Buckinghamshire etc... Special FX Entertainment Services
