DJTREV 0
It will definately be a hit.Watch out for Studio B and I See Girls This is not a rehearsal This is it - grab it while you can.
RobbieD 0
I have it too and played it at an 18th Birthday a couple of weeks ago (one of those where they want nothing but R&B/Hip-Hop). Got lots of funny looks, and cleared the floor. Personally I don't like it much, but thank that it will be a hit once people get into it. I was in London for gigs this weekend and notice that Choice FM seem to be playing it quite a lot.
Kingy 0
Played it during the warm up on Sunday and had 3 seperate people ask who it was. I think it becomes infectous! FDDJ 0
QUOTE (DJTREV @ Mar 25 2005, 02:24 PM)It will definately be a hit.Watch out for Studio B and I See Girls Wasn't that out 18 months ago? I seem to remember it was linked to a Lynx ad?? http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/533.gif "It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change." - Charles Darwin <a href="http://www.djassociates.org"><img src="http://www.djassociates.org/anims/compres_banner.gif" alt="Join the DJ Associates Disc Jockey Association" border="0" width="468" height="60"></a>
DJTREV 0
You could well be right,Steve, although I must have missed it cause I only heard it for the first time last week!! In fact it has just charted this week-no 13 This is not a rehearsal This is it - grab it while you can.
Danno13 0
Room 5 was the lynx advert... are you not confusing it with that? Studio B has just been released although it was on a DMC disc 2 months ago and Jules has bern playing it from ages before that as well.. Anyway, Akon... not particularly keen on it but only caught a few seconds at a time on music channels so might be a grower.... FDDJ 0
I knew I had heard it before! Borrowed from HMV.co.uk (I hope that's o.k?): "If you can recognise the vocal then the chances are you may have heard 'I See Girls' back in 2003 in the style of an RnB track laid down by singer/songwriter Harry Brooks and Romeo(So Solid). However, remixed by Tom Neville and delivered by Garland residents Dave and Huey, the house version soon transformed into a massive underground hit - becoming one of last years most popular anthems in Ibiza." http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/thumbup.gif Anyway, back on topic, I liked Akon "Locked Up", but I haven't heard this new track yet. I'll keep an ear out for it.
