  1. Behringer B1520's for £280 the pair[ from Digital Village] are very good value for money for that price[ costs £450 the same pair alsewhere].
  2. Yes most simply way to get round that is cut everything below 70hz off. Most 12 inchers in 2 way cabs start to sound distorted below 100hz, and 70hz for high quality cabs.
  3. Hi, I got some RCF ART500's and gonna build some Punisher horn bass bins[at the moment using huge 15 inch scoop bass bins] and some big amps[QSC RMX4050HD,QSC RMX2450] that I use when I play at large venues[with crowd of about 300 ppl]. But I also got a pair of Behringer B1520 speakers and another QSC RMX2450. So as the Behringer B1520 are rated 200w rms,8 ohms and I wanna get a pair of Behringer B1800X 400w rms subs,8 ohms. Will the QSC RMX2450 that gives 750w rms into 4 ohms per channel drive them fine??? So thats 750w rms going into 200w rms mid/tops and 400w rms bass bins[using th

    Music you don't play

I remember when I was on holiday once,in the big hotel garden where was someone's wedding going on in a marquee, they were played crude music totally unsuitable for a wedding. Roy Chubby Brown 'Living next door to Alive' and other Chubby Brown crude songs so loudly that even inside the hotel everyone could hear it. http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/omg.gif http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/1106.gif http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/censored2.gif http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/oops.gif I remember the hotel manager getting furious and storming about the h
  7. Yep lucky the toilet is close but still I have no one to look after my equipment when I go to the loo. http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/014.gif So the worst that happened was I came back after only 2 mins going to the loo to found a drunk idiot had spilt all his drink all over the dj booth table. And table was swimming in drink http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/014.gif [ luckerly decks and mixer stay in their cases, and i just take the lid off] or my equipment would have been damaged and he would be paying for it. http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/mad.gif Had peo
  8. Also don't forget some amps the hot air exits through the back others it exits through the front. So I wouldn't want an amp blowing hot air back into the other amp sucking it in. So two racks or a much larger rack I'd go for.
  9. You can use a can of compressed air where the hoover cannot reach[between very small gaps]. But a word of warning, the compressed can must not be very close to the components or it will 'freeze it' and sometimes damage it.
  10. Yep I'm not keen on the traffic light type boxes, looks cheap and tacky and reminds me of amusment arcardes or fairground in places like; Margate and Southend. Which have really tacky looking lights around the arcarde and fun fair areas. And I don't want a disco to look either really cheap and tacky or look like a cheesy arcade or fairground attraction.LOL
  11. Well every 2nd saturday of every month from 6pm-11pm I do a simular thing[a disco for autistic people in a day centre in Wood Green,London]. I used to help out at the day centre so it's lucky they asked me to DJ there. So the Disco I do is for any adults with disabilities. Mostly a crowd of ages btw 18-30 and I try and play a bit of anything. Most of them take a great liking to me play old blues, soul and reggae. Except last time it turned into a rampage http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/mad.gif . Was going well until some idiots who had nothing to do with the disco barge
  12. Behringer makes great value and rugged amps and speakers for the price you pay. The Behringer amps are clones of the QSC RMX series. And having heard them both theres not much difference in the sound quality. http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/smile.gif Except QSC has the repuation, great reliability, great service and offers replacable modules, but is twice the price than the Behringer. As for powering most speakers always use amps with rms 1.5-2 times the rms of the speakers. Then there is less chance of clipping the amp, as clipping amp = fried speakers. And very high qualit
  13. Yep thats correct I use the Allen&Heath Xone32. I use the Red Sounds micro headphone amp http://www.decks.co.uk/products/headphones...ounds/micro_amp
